(Note: I main both german axis and western allies, the problem is seen from both sides of the equation)
In order for western allies to not be completely unplayable post merge, they will need the following to occur:
The number of tiers should be increased to 6, with each set of two facing one another.
The exception for this would be Western Allies tier 5 which can either face germany tier 4 and 5, or tier 5 alone. NEVER FACING TIER 6
Reasoning for never facing tier 6 axis: they have VASTLY superior small arms and western allies have almost nothing on par with them, let alone anything to deal with the Tiger II H
The allies have maxed gear on par with what is currently around tier 4 axis on the test server
Western allies DESPERATELY need a 76 jumbo as the counter to the tiger E, as it gets armor and a great gun. We shouldn’t have to de-track and de-barrel grayzoning tigers hoping the player using them eventually gives up trying to repair them.
The german tiger E can be set at the high end of tier 5 along with the kiraly (assuming 6 tiers) as a result of this.
The first thompsons, m1a1 and m1928 box magazine should sit in tier 4, with the m21/28 and drum magazine in tier 5 (again assuming 6 tiers here)
With tier 6 only against the soviets, the germans can finally get a belt fed mg42 to match the RD44 as well, without the worry that it will face the vastly inferior (in relation to the mg42 belt feed anyways) m1919a6
This allows for a proper middle tier matchmaking process for the western allies/axis
