Uragan SMG. Why?

Just like with Fedorov Rifle 1912. Why?

  1. Uragan SMG was a one-off partisan-made weapon. Never adopted by the military, no documented combat use. Why is it in the tech tree and not gold order/event for liberation of Belarus?

  2. Soviet BR2 already has PPS-42, PPS-43, Obrez PPSh - all good variants of weaponry actually used in WW2. Why did we need another strong SMG there?

  3. Uragan SMG allegedly had a fire rate of 500-600 rpm, but in-game it’s 750?

I get the “F2P online FPS game always needs new content” argument but I can’t help but ask Why so many times recently

Honestly, in my opinion Darkijin just wanted to make sure that Soviets will have the best SMG on BR2 even after M1A1 Thompson is downtiered from BR3 to BR2 so it can make fighting the always downtiered Japanese less painful.
Why does USSR need to have the best SMG even though it will face neither Japan or US is beyond me especially since German SMGs on BR2 were already inferior to Soviet counterparts in most regards.

The original devs must have been fired or left in 2023 since these guys dont care about HA or balance at all, just want to milk the playerbase.

It would have made a superb weapon for a guerrilla event squad, but no it had to be in the TT somehow, as if the Soviets were lacking in terms of quality of smg at this BR

Didnt they buff the Fed due to it “facing the Type Hei Auto” in the near future?

At the very least I can just give it to the partisan guerilla squad

You mean if Soviet BR2 plays vs Japanese BR3?

But it’s also equally possible that Soviet BR2 would face Japan BR1 as well.

Not to mention that PPS-42 is still probably the best well-rounded SMG?

Because Soviets need to be overpowered 3.0 not just OP 2.0 or previously OP 1.0, it’s a Gaijin’s way of “balancing” at their games.
They made them so op that they are playing Persona 5 on easy while Germany is playing Dark Souls with -50% hp debuff and broken sword.

And as always they double screwed over Germany and also somewhat against Soviets as it’s a double edged sword.
Now Soviets BR2 are either stomps vs BR2 Germany or uptiers and get stomped by Germany BR3.
Did they really expect for BR2 Germans to be sitting fine when they got squeezed hard by both Soviets and Americans? ofc not they moved to BR3, 4 and 5 instead of endless suffering of their underpowered crappy guns.

That’s for sure, however milking at BR2-3 is only put on Germany as they need to pay real money to have fighting chance against always power creeping Soviet and American guns.

my testing confirmed its the most powerful soviet smg, even stronger than the pps42/43.
too many too strong stats combinbed in one single low BR weapon

you already did more testing that DF did before the major update.

its funny bc on paper the uragan seems like it would perform worse than the pp43 due to having less control and more bullets missing; so i didnt take the gun serious. after grinding the weapon for completion sake i tested an upgraded one and DAMN…insanely strong. no brainer equip over the other already OP soviet smgs.

No testing is required just look at the in-game stats of PPS42/43 and then compare it to Uragan and then back at MP40. If you want more in depth testing then play with it in real matches. And ultra scientific methodology also exists. In all three cases you will find out that this SMG doesn’t belong in BR2 neither does PPS42/43 (42 at least not without a nerf) and Thompson of BR3 that got downtiered to BR2 for some reason, we can’t forget about Thompson 7.63 premium squad.

There are no reason to not run them on every assaulter it completely made all existing BR2 guns obsolete just like Fedorov Avtomat post buff it made all German ARs obsolete. In a single patch DF killed two BR tiers of Germany.

But hey Soviet bias doesn’t exist as i’ve heard from Soviet mains on this forum.

I’m glad that Uragan is in the tech tree. It’s really a beautiful weapon. I just don’t understand why it’s not on BR3, where it could be perfectly fine. The Soviets only have one smg on BR3 so far.

The Ho-Ri was never manufactured, let alone used.

Yes, I have aways supported its deletion/non-inclusion.

But in that case I could at least explain it by the devs eagerly wanting Japan to be competitive with USA on BR5.

With Soviet SMGs of WW2 Uragan doesn’t make any sense IMO

“Because it’s rof is too high so it wastes bullets! It’s therefore weak!”

I guess 100 rof smg is worth putting at BR6

This isn’t the first time at all. God knows what they’re thinking. Their confidentiality work is the best. And it’s simply impossible to effectively predict what they’re going to do.
