Increase their damage? They already have hundreds of damage.
Suggest changing to increase penetration power.

I wouldn’t touch penetration. It sets a nasty precedent.
I’d rather have improvements to its handling such as aim speed, movement penalties or recoil.

I suppose it increases damage dealt to people and ammo racks. I’ve hit markered with this thing before after it penetrated a tank. Plus it might deal extra damage to fortifications or tracks or something. I think it’s still useful…
Can someone confirm what this does and doesn’t effect?

More damage = more post-pen damage. So it’s not entirely pointless

Like I said, I’ve hitmarkered with this hun before and not killed, when I got the upgrade I then never got hitmarkers plus my snipes on tanks more consistently detonated their ammo, I think it’s still useful.
For me, it’s not worth it. If the power is not enough, just add another shot. But if the penetration is not enough, no matter how many shots are fired, it will be useless

Shouldn’t give fking hitmarker to begin with, this shite is stupid and is Devs fault making ATR sucks at their job even against early war tanks
I find it sufficient and prefer ATRs. They have great range on maps like Moscow, granted they stop penetrating at BR3 so I just snipe their tracks.
But I’m crazy and agree they should get a better buff, but I still think the damage is useful…

They stop being useful after BRI, the Boys ATR just suck overall, the Best ATR is Type 97 ATR which can deal with BR2 without issues, ATR ironically are better for Anti-Air than Anti-Tank
Damage doesn’t matter since you end up sniping crews anyway(if ammo is not available from the front or covered by other part)

I snipe sides on tanks with Pzrb 39 and detonate ammo racks.
It would be cool if the final upgrade would let you shoot B-32 API instead of regular AP. Other AT rifles that had API would be able to do the same for the final upgrade. What do you think?

I really like AT Rifles. Especially the PTRS-41. I still use at BR 2, and as an “extra situational” squad at high BR (people love to spam engineer AT guns). Boys AT does suck a litte though, in the pen department
If you know where ammo racks are a double tap ends in detonation (I mean the hit cam shows it to you), Great for sniping certain tanks, planes, Engineer gun emplacements and APCS…or just Sniping in General. 50 cal Barrett anyone??
