Update to Queue-Any Faction

I’ve noticed that playing queue-any often results in constantly getting the same faction. It is to a degree time/day dependent, but generally as players ebb and flow to certain factions selecting queue any doesn’t result in a near equal spread across all factions, which in part is the appeal to having it selected. As an example, when playing queue any two days ago, I got a single Germany game and a single USSR game, but almost every other game was Japan. I play queue any for variety, but this was effectively just playing a single faction. A couple months ago, it was almost exclusively Germany games.

Having a soft rule to select factions that haven’t been played recently after several games would provide a nice relief to the strings of same-faction games. Say after every 5 or so games it assesses if you have been playing a single faction the most, and then soft locks that from the selection for a few games. This would ensure faction diversity when queue-any is selected.

I don’t even use it because when I do I get Japan every single time.

That thing is seriously broken, ever since it added to game its non stop japan… if I have 10 match in a day 7 of them japan rest is 2 -soviet or usa and 1 germany

It would be nice with a system where you could select specific factions to queue up as, gaining a scaling benefit from zero to max based on the ammount of factions selected.

I wish I could also pick several BR loadouts and be put in any BR, any faction

The point of the queue any faction is to help faction with less player. That is what the extra reward is for.

Yeah, it’s definitely not even spread at all. I play pretty much exclusively “join any” and here’s what I’ve gotten overall since the merge, and what I’ve noticed per BR over the last couple of months:

The following is based on my playing on US servers over the last few months:

If I queue “join any” with BR V on all factions 10 times, I will get 6 Germany and 3 Japan matches. Almost never will I get a Soviet or US BR V match from “join any”

BR IV on all factions gets me the most even spread, with the exception of Japan which I have quite literally NEVER seen through “join any” BR IV queuing. Maybe a slight lean toward Germany, so out of 10 I probably get 4 Germany, 3 each US and Soviet.

BR III on all factions gets me Soviets at LEAST half of the matches, but I get a decent amount of US matches too and also Germany/Japan matches every now and then. Out of 10, I’d call it 5 Soviet, 3 US, and 1 each Germany and Japan matches.

BR II on all factions gets me dominantly Soviet and German matches, with a sprinkle of US matches. Completely absent any Japan matches at all. Out of 10, probably around 4 Soviet, 4 Germany, 2 US.

BR I on all factions will get you Germany. Every single time. Maybe a splash of Japan every great once in a while, but it seems every brand new Enlisted player is starting with Germany or it’s opponents (go figure, that’s 3 of the 4 factions). Out of 10, I’ll be generous and call it 9 German and 1 Japan match.

Overall, I agree the “join any” matchmaking needs a little touch up to make it what it’s supposed to be. Soft rules that ensure some diversity would be welcome for sure. Until that happens, I recommend mixing up your BRs per faction if you want to play “join any”.

Best “join any” lineup I’ve been using lately is Soviets BR III, US BR III, Germany BR V, and Japan BR V. I actually see all 4 a decently even amount with this.
