Tested it and it’s much weaker than new Chinese Thompson it should get a buff to accuracy and dmg. Anti-German bias is alive and strong at least at low BR.

MP18 is still barely usable, new Thompson is much much more controllable especially since i bet you can buy horizontal perk.
Actually why does USA gets yet another great smg with no recoil at BR2? While Axis is left with only slightly buffed MP18 that still is half as accurate as Chinese Thompson and at same time it’s shooting slower, other non-premium guns we are crappy mp40/m1 beretta with just 570 rof that can’t compete with ANY SMG at BR2.

American bias as always with their smgs and lmgs.
PPS-42 of Soviets is also obviously way better than any German SMG at BR2 except premium MP-719(r) since it’s the same gun. So your only choice of having a good time with German smgs is to buy that premium since your only choice to have comparable and well performing smg, shame that it’s attached to Guerrillas so it’s a bit meh or your could just switch to better nations (but muh panzers).
Type2a is so overpowered that i don’t need to say anything just look at those stats.
It’s obvious now that BR2 smgs of USA, Soviets and Japan are of power of BR3 German smgs (unless you buy MP719(r)). We need to downtier BR3 German smgs to BR2 to have a chance vs those op smgs or at very least give us 2nd FNAB version with higher rof at BR2 and give OG-43 40 round magazine.
Is this how you want to balance the game? To punish Germany at low br for no reason for years. I still remember how at first you wanted to put MP40 at BR3.

No need just make it as good as Chinese Thompson, 2a and PPS-42. And TT smgs of Germany needs to be much better since they all are underperforming.
Yes, but they should just swap one of the surplus radio guys with the AT class. Same for the 9 man rifle premiums that didn’t see any improvement. Just because the squad is full size shouldn’t stop it from happening, just replace one of the existing riflemen in the squad with an engi. (or replace 2, adding one engi and one AT)

By the way, the new map is truly amazing. Very detailed and pretty much all new assets. Gorgeous to look at and just plain fun to play! Looking forward to more missions/modes to play on it. Like backwards Invasion that starts at the big bell and ends at the river, or 5 point conquest large that includes the temple and the cave diagonally opposite of it as capture points.

New Thompson squad only have 5 members, yet MP18 have 6. That offsets Thompson’s advantage.
but you get less MP18s of only 4 then Thompsons at 5 though,which is the major selling point of the squad,not the random 2 other specialists who can’t use the MP18,and I think the argument about being balanced by numbers really shouldn’t be applied to premium stuff.

I doubt that.
In the future, BR2 engineers and AT soldiers may also get more powerful semi-automatic rifles.
Germans already have two
Once DF won’t see enough sales they will (not would) add 6th slot to them. They love their power creep and overpowered guns at low-mid BR. But only nations that could have them are anyone but Germany.
