Hello.
Try setting up your Americans for BR5. Then mouseover the little question mark to the left of “Start” where it says “Possible maps:”
You will see that setting up Americans for BR5 means they will only play on Normandy, every game. Russians get Berlin and Stalingrad. Germans get all three of those. The Japanese only get to play on Pacific, in any BR. Nobody gets to use high level stuff on Moscow. And conversely, nobody gets to play Berlin in low-BR, for example. Many limitations like this.
Having these restricted map pools feels really lame after a while, especially knowing how many maps there are.
I want an option to enable “ahistorical matchups” (germans vs japanese on moscow maps, etc) to open up the map pool. I know there are many history monglers out there who would hate to see it, but it would be a great way to consolidate factions (more humans per game), and if it’s an option that can be enabled/disabled, history monglers can still get their historical-ish-ness.
Which they should not. Stalingrad was early war.
Berlin and Seelow Heights is enough.
That would do exactly the opposite if Japan somehow had to have players or all 3 other nations instead of 1 (and it doesn’t seem to have many players even against 1), let alone the fact that I can’t see anyone above the age of 10 to want Japan vs Germany in Moscow.
They are all busy playing WT.
Only when we get proper seelow maps. I dont want to fight in stupid railways i want to fight in the thick forest with german fortifications. Also operation bagration maps would help making more diverse map pool in high br
I would love them too. But still, it’s ingenuine to say that “high BR Soviets only have Berlin without Stalingrad”.
If the Werbig Station map wasn’t in berlin campaign in the beginning, no one would know now where that action happens.
Absolutely. And I proposed some more generic map ideas before:
