Unlocking slots for class II soldiers?

I just recently unlocked some class II machine gunners and purchased some small ammo pouches. When I go to upgrades I have the back pack slots unlocked but still locked out for my class II soldiers. Anyone know how to unlock slots for them?

you need unlock the bag slot for them, its not the same squad as Gunner I

You need to level machine gunner II squad in exactly the same manner as you did with machine gunner I squad.
