Kills immersion for me. I like the fact theyre trying to be authentic . However seeing 4 different uniforms on the same battlefield drive me crazy. It should be one unit per map , per faction. So say a Carentan map. . 101st unit for US and fallschirmjager for germans. Not a conglomeration of 5 different unit patches.
Also, for the love of god… fix American uniform …especially the stupid yellow para gloves. No soldiers going to be fighting with thick yellow leather gloves on. It looks ridiculous and super tacky.
Each match looks like an army navy surplus store just had a close out sale and all these goof balls running around with crazy random outfits.
In most campaigns, many diffrent divisions with each their own unique uniforms would be used.

Right , I’m totally aware of this. However within one battle or firefight…not so much . It looks ridiculous to see 5 different units fighting in the same town.
i strongly disagree. i mean, it was accurate as multiple divisions most of the time cooperated to archieve victory with their own equipment, uniforms, and such.
although, i do agree with you that some of the present uniforms are questionable: but as i said in one other post, i think that those are gonna be somewhat of a " place holder " for quite a while, since those are the same assets from battle of berlin. but later on ( with the years ) will be replaced.
Yes but in a condensed battle like we see in game it wouldn’t be 5 different units. MAYBE 2 . Like 101st and 82nd jumping into Normandy. But both Division have different missions. Different area of operations. So no. It is not realistic at all. It is silly.
well, enlisted normandy campaign tries to include all units at once waeather some of those units actually fought on the beach, and others not. due to their ability, they get different uniforms so that they can be recognized.
second, there were alot of divisions involved:
( i don’t usually take wiki pedia as primary sourches, but many others has similar fonts )
those units were indeed present. and fought on the normandy campaign.
i do see your point that some of these never landed on the beach to fight germans, but i’m not sure locking units just for cosmetic reason would be a good idea. gameplay reasons matters the most ( i think )
and honestly, i much prefer the american uniforms insthead of the german/russian uniforms because you can see their shoulder regimental/division patch so you can recognize them, and coordinate a bit better with them.
Yes I see what you’re saying. But seeing different units running around in close proximity is silly. It bugs the shit out of me lol. Personally I’d rather them just lose unit tags all together in game or pick one unit who fought predominatly in that battle .
See a squad from 2nd Rangers , 101st, 2nd ID all in same town is just goofy as hell.
But then again, look at a condescend battle, such as the Siege of Brest Fortress, you had the 6th and 42nd infantry regiments, alongside the 17th NKVD rifles and units from the 132nd. So it was a real mix of troops and uniforms.
The idea of a battle being just one unit wouldn’t be very fun, especially if one side’s unit is just SMGs, because I’d just go play CoD instead.
