Have you tried rank 2 Soviets? It is so fun to always be put on attacking side agaisnt rank 3 Germany with constant 75mm gun tank spam and not even having a panzerfaust to combat them because YOU have to abide to the rules of limiting your equipment to crap, in the game where powercreep is a crystal clear game mechanic, also more alive people in matches means more sweaty greasy gamers sitting in every single corner of a map, or climbing to mount Everest with a sniper rifle, I mean, you are being put in Stalingrad most of the time, where aviation is not useful to say the least, so map design is killing your only way to actually combat tank spam, I believe the situiation is the same everywhere, cos I didnt like “high br” matches before the merge, so it must be even more unfun, being in constant state of screenshake and contusion, thanks for War Thunder 2, devs, I am feeling so outplayed by someone clicking lmb to wipe my whole squad for 50505050050th time, go play the game yourselves.
At BR2 you have much better smgs than all Axis smgs from BR2-4. At BR2 you also have T28E, BT-7A F-32, M3 Medium and T-50 which can all frontally pen those Panzers with no issue WINchester is superior to any axis boltie. Idk why you are crying about op Soviets being “so weak” at low-mid br.
Now try to fight against Soviets with T-34 STZ + KV-1, PPSh-41/PPS-43/SVT-38 spam against your crappy 50mm/75mm short barreled tanks and underpowered dogshit FNAB you will feel the real pain.
Its literally almost the exact same performance wise when compared to the Mannlicher M1895/30, both have the same bolt speed.

It is similar to PPS in perfomance imo, the thing is, the game is both unbalanced and unfun, because it doesnt really matter which br you prefer, you are guaranteed to go br higher all the time, where you are getting raped by vehicle powercreep, heck, how about flamethrowers at br 2, I have but MADSEN to answer as you ve said it is equally unfun to get KV1 at br 3, but at least you have Pz4 F to pen it frontally, while T-34 cant really do much to Panther.

Yeah skill issue but your skill issue in reading stats of weapons, it’s inferior to PPS-42/-43 i guess you like torturing yourself with weak ass smgs. Only BR4 Axis smgs can compete against BR2 Soviet smgs which is just ridiculous. At bare minimum they should move all Axis smgs by one BR down, and folder up BR1 and BR2 since they are beyond useless.

I’m sorry, but I don’t think you really know what you are talking about. PIV J is BR3 and when you get it as BR2 russian it is basically impossible to deal with without bombing it to hell, since and all the manly germans do is drive onto a hill 200m deep in a grayzone and sit there spamming HE and at longer ranges nothing from BR2 will go through it’s front (unless devmans stopped the shrapnel round nonsense and gave the T-28 a real round? even then its marginal at best, and would require an almost dead on turret mantlet shot, according to WT stats for the 76mm L-10)
In BR2 you have the PIII J1 which is like, the best tank at that rating hands down and will kill anything the russia can bring to BR2 without second thought. It will struggle against BR3 stuff, but russian BR2 stuff against german BR3 armor is just utterly hopeless.
For SMGs I agree, PPSh 42 and 43 definitely should be on par with MP38 and MP 40 BR wise (I have no idea why the box mag 41 is above 42 and 43, it is abysmally bad in comparison)
And you are complaining about the Winchester (which is plenty fun), while the germans have the 7.35mm Carcano in BR1? AND THE ARMAGUERRA 39 in BR2?
The ZB-26 is also miles better than the Madsen

Huh??? Soviets have foldered T-28E with APHEBC that 1hk any panzer frontally, you have event BT-7A (F-32) with 76mm and also APHEBC and M3 Medium with crappy solid shell but you can still try hitting ammo racks (you will fail most of the time and Panzer going to nuke your tank anyway)
Oh, I kinda forgot they actually do have br 2 semi-auto rifle, and even AT grenade launchers, to 2 them, while soviets have what? PTRS-41??? Panzerfaust should be br 2 for Soviets, but then it would be too op for br 1-2, its actually hard to come up with any decent solutions without creating more problems
ARMAGUERRA semi don’t 1hk at any distance like Winchester you need multiple shots to kill people or always headshot. I would rather use bolties. And WINchester has better stats than all Carcanos.

I don’t remember the stats, but I’ve been using the 7.35mm carcano to level most of my Tunisia and Japan, it’s perfectly on par with the Winchester. It has slightly bigger mag and comes with a bayonet, which is amazing help when you have to assault the point, or are getting pushed hard. Also it has amazingly good sights.
And thats where semiautos shine too. Its true you wont be picking stuff off at long ranges with the Armaguerra, but I guess I don’t do that much anyway.
Pretty sure the ZB-26 is BR2? I did look at it right before but its possible its brain fart
