Flying is also my favorite thing in this game.
I upload complete battles on YT but also make compilations, but I have to make them manually.
I have got no editing skills or software…
May I ask, how do you make your clips?

I have only started messing around with making clips a few times over the last year (just dabbling). Was mainly to learn how to do it so I could help Students at work.
Just using Capcut. Its free…Very simple to use, Its actually kind of fun. I recommend it.
Has everything you need built in, including Audio (music, sfx)

I think you will make some pretty cool stuff. Just a Tip, When choosing transition, effects, audio, etc…Theres a huge list. Anything tagged with “pro” isnt free.
So just use the untagged stuff. Theres a huge selection anyway…happy editing!
I used Davinci Resolve.
It’s free (there is a paid version too) and pretty powerful…but also rather complicated. But hey, it let me use hardware AV1 encoder in my GPU so a video wouldn’t take a century to render

Which IL2 is your favorite? I think all of them have their strengths personally, even the 1941 is actually pretty good as a fighter somehow.
Also idk if this counts as underrated, but the D3A1 is actually pretty decent, even if it’s slow AF it can turn fast and I’ve taken down tons of P38s with it. Even if it doesn’t compare to a IAR or something the 250kg is still nice.
IL-2-37 is my favourite for “fun”
But the IL-2 (1941) i rate as the best overall. I like it so much i use it at all BRS. It has the best tool set.
Haha if you look at the japanese clip in the OP, you will see me doing exactly that. Taking out p38s, p47s and beaufighters in the D3A1
(first half is zero, last half is D3A1 and AM5)

Hellcat is a very good machine! it was quite the chase but you got him!!
If what you are doing is working for you keep at it. you will naturally smooth out with time.
I will offer try to follow your opponents orientation. Match his roll and keep your nose aligned with his path
There was one moment there where you were pulling negative to get a shot at him. He could have used this point to reset your advantage (he missed it though). In stead of going for the shot I would have gone Up while rolling over.
also at the end you both were in a horizontal turn duel, thats fine you got him, but you bleed out everything you have. If you can, Try to use vertical to cut inside him

LOL…i was a bit confused by defending…and I didnt see anyone die…well then!!! Then take what I said in reverse

Tbf, at 30 sec mark I for the first time discovered him on my tail and paniced a bit.

The visibility is so bad also on Hellcat, defending in the dark for most of the time.

At the moment I have both event-Hellcat and P51 in my BR III lineup. Enjoying both of them a lot.
But probably have to sacrifice one of them for space.

My mistake…
replays dont always sync up real well, so it doesnt look right, also while the 109 definitely made a meal of his shots, Forlorn was in the Hellcat.
I assumed he was the 109 at first too.
Oh - right - should have recognized the cockpit and guns!! duh!
