As the title says. The ZH29 is not close in comparison to the AVS 36 and is only a step up from the G41 in reload speed. The AVS 36 can be used in semi auto as fast as you can click while the ZH29 is gimped by the RoF. Unnerfed it still isnt as good but it would be much better than it is now.

I think personally they need to revisit the Semi Autos in general.
I’ve finally started the grind with the Soviet Faction in Berlin, and the CqC dominance is wild.
Coupled with the fact that you can basically run just SMGs on endless loop. If I were a new player with the Semis right now, it would be rough.
At least bursting the mag in cqc in the old days gave you a chance.
IMO at least.

I agree with all of you. This one just bothers me the most as there isnt even some SF option for the Germans in Moscow so they literally nerfed one side

Yep revert it for sure. Something else that bothers me is they nerf entire classes and not specific weapons making them feel rather generic. Give some slower RoF, give some faster. Blanket numbers are idiotic without taking into context the campaign

There’s also the wonderful beretta 38 with huge 20 bullets mag against the super weak ppsh41 that is a great matchup in Moscow

Thats another one that confuses me. Berlin its PPSH vs 40 round M38 and ok thats decent, PPSH is still a better SMG overall but I like the M38. M38 is controllable and accurate with a decent RoF.
Moscow 20 round M38 vs the same PPSH?? Makes no sense

The ONLY logic I’d see here, is asymmetrical balance: maybe they really will add the mkb42 for assaulters, and though it would be a lot so decided prior german weapons should be weaker…
But it’s just a wild guess. I wouldn’t mind it however as I’m all for asymmetrical balance if it allows fun goodies like the t34 for Russians and mkb42 for axis.

IRL the german semi auto rifle in moscow was the SVT38 and the SVT40. Way more common than the uselss G41

Yep. The G41 has serious reliability issues which lead the Germans to copy features of the SVT 40

You could have them unlocked without squads. Like how the Germans get the ZB26 when the Russians get the Winchester.

but at least the G41 was a “used” prototype that looks german and makes somewhat sense… unlike the ZH29 which is neither a german weapon, nor did it ever see combat, it wasnt even tested. I really dont like the fact that the best german rifle in moscow is a fairy tale -blueprint gun.
I dont use the G41 - too inaccurate, long reload. Sane reason i dont use ZH.
For me the best rifle is the K98k and will always be
Or how germans got 2 AT rifles and Russians 2 mortars… it’s very slight I knowsince both are behaving the same, but the principle could be there.
