I cant believe, that i grinded the berlin campaign reached lvl 35, and was rewarded with the BIGGEST!!! trash can a tanker can propably imagine?
This thing cant even penetrate the turret of a Panther properly, while the frontal hull is 100 percent immune even at 50 meters away.
The Jagdpanther Premium is also 100 percent immun against the IS-2.
The Kingtiger can barely be penetrated at the turret´s front maybe with alot of luck.
For what does this tank actually exist? even Panzer IV are penetrating the IS-2 left and right.
I would rather use a T-34-85 anytime before the IS-2.
Is2 is not bad at all historically it could pen panthers front plate but can’t in game because tank models are junk as always. King tiger is a different case of course you’re gonna have trouble penning, have u tried using he, it goes right through the tigers roof armor. And it shreds inf. Don’t aim for solo soldiers but groups. It’s he radius means u always get chains. Largest chain I got with it was around 30ish kills. It wipes points of inf similar to bombs. Also aim for lower flics plate on jagdpanther. Even high velocity guns like 17 pounder and 90mm had trouble penetrating the front armor
Why are you using that tank primarily against enemy tanks? You are not using the tank right as this is not a Tiger but instead its used more against large groups of infantry with the 122mm HE. Shoot houses, buildings and bunkers or even large groups of infantry crowding together. Use it like a direct artillery piece against infantry while fighting enemy tanks being the secondary job.
There’s a reason why I have both T-34-85 and IS-2 in my lineup.
As for anti-tank in Berlin, there is an ideal Jabo called IL-10, so it is better to use that.
There is also the La-7 option, although it is inferior in payload.
The 122mm APHE can also act weird by non penning even a Panzer IV which is why I use HE on some tanks like the Panther at times. I recommend the loader having his two exclusive perks with the reload speed and the ability to switch shell types while reloading even though I use this perk on all of my tanks, the IS-2 has a significant benefit from those two perks.
