Type 98 320 mm mortar for reasons

I dunno man, would be pretty cool to lob a trash can at those US folk.

Edit: It probably would have to be a buildable structure for the mortar squad.

eDIT: Possibly a map feature that takes engineer supplies to load and is a counter to grey zone campers?

I guess, but the mortarmen carry mortars, and that looks extremely large to be carried as a mortar and deployed wherever.
However the Japanese AT gun weighs a ton IRL, and they carry that thing around like its nothing, so this wouldn’t be a giant stretch of the imagination at this point.

Plenty of derps in most armies:
Blackler Bombard for British - possibly used in Western Desert…

24cm heavy mortar for the Germans - WW1 vintage, but what the hey…

24cm trench mortar for Italians, also WW1… shwen here being used by US troops…

Buildable by engineers in mortar squad?

320mm? Try 450mm rocket platform

Still lame, let mortar squad build 1,65m V2 rocket. Make camping great again.

I’ve suggested Rocket Artillery as a Radio call-in, as well as Rocket Artillery platforms as an Engineer construct.

Different implementations have different strategies and uses.

i have a question for that wiki article

The 300 kg (660 lb), 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in), 330 mm (13 in) shells fit around and on top of the tube, instead of being dropped inside, making this a spigot mortar.

why is 320mm mortar using 330mm shells?

It says so right there in the bit you quoted - it is a spigot mortar - ie the shell fits OUTSIDE the spigot, not inside a barrel.

didnt even pay attention to the part where they said it was mounted on top of the barrel. kinda weird mortar considering most spigots go into the tube, but this one is probably different cause of the weight and need to assemble it in parts.
