Please make a mod for the type 97 LMG be able to remove the ridiculous scope. You lose vision of most of the battlefield when using it. BR2 and under doesnt have access to anything else other then the type 11 which blocks view to the entire left side of the field. They are so bad that when I play lower tier Japanese, I’d rather arm myself with an entry level rifle then use these LMGs. The type 96 is WAY better of a sight and has less hit power then the 97 but it’s BR3.
It also has 60% recoil control, 10 more rounds and a bayonet, all things the Type 97 lacks. Although I agree with removing the scope, since I also made a post about that only recently. Here it is:
I totally forgot about the bayonette…there is no reason they can’t put the 96 at BR2 and just give it a 20 rounb mag to keep it inline with LMGs in other factions. The 97 and 11 are brutal…a96 in both BRs with different mags would be best.
If you can find proof of a 20 round mag existing, then I support this suggestion. But otherwise, I don’t believe the Type 96 should be down tiered. It would mean increasing recoil and dispersion, which were the things that made the Type 96 unique.
Either way, a Type 97 with no scope would outdo the Type 96 in dispersion and damage. It’s better we focus on making sure the scope is removable than adding more MGs to BR II.
I like the scope if I can use it at distance, but it does suck to have it attached for close in battles which means I really can only use it as a hip fire MG at close ranges. NTM that it is not a great long range weapon, even with the scope. However, there is no reason people should not have the right to remove the scope as we can with sniper scopes and bayonets.
