Type 97 and type 96 scope

At the moment Japan’s br2 omg offerings are quite poor, you either get a type 11 that takes up a large part of the screen or the type 97 that has a big scope which isn’t always ideal.

Here are the pictures of each guns sights and why I dislike them:

Type 11:

As you can see it take up a lot of the screen real estate, not good.

Type 97:

I like the scope but it’s no good in cqc and when not in use takes up a lot of screen.

I suggest:

•let us take the scope off the type 97 or if that’s not possible put a separate non scope variant in a folder with it

A second suggestion about Japanese scoped lmgs is that the type 96 lost it’s scope a while ago. Seen here:

To my knowledge the scope was never functional but I suggest:

•bring this scope back and have it also be removable to be in line with what I suggested for the type 97.

Not tech tree, so therefore a limited amount can be acquired and soon it may become impossible to get.

Preach, I adore the Hotchkiss.

disagre, japs scoped gun is really strong. Japs have the best MG on BRII

As I said earlier I like the scope, but it’s not always ideal and I’d argue that the bren, mg13 and zb-26 are all better.

There are not many machine guns with high ammunition, so add a scoped Type 96 light machine gun.

there is a magazine fed type 11 lmg which would take up less space on screen

IMOP the Hotchkiss SHOULD be the tech tree MG for Japan as it is FAR SUPERIOR to the current tech tree MG’s. That being said, the one with the scope is OK if you want to use it as a sniper MG, but not good if you want to use it as you would use your MG13 or any other MG. Change it so, like a sniper rifle you have the option of removing the scope. Either way, the MG’s base site will most likely suck.

Since I am talking BP weapons that should be tech tree, the Russian RPK 1943 should also be tech tree, but with a 20 round mag instead of the 15 as it IMOP is much better then the Madsen. However, I have been around long enough now to know that both these gun suggestions are DOA with Dark Force.
