Type 100/TE 3 - incorrect mass and rate of fire

The total weight of the Type 100 with magazine and cartridges is 20.9 kg (as you understand, this is without taking into account the bipod and buttstock :smiling_face_with_tear:). The overall rate of fire should be 2200 rpm.

Nah. Fire rate is just fine as it is, giving it its true ROM would only further hinder its capabilities in prolonged fire… however might make it better in cqc as it should be used but don’t see a need and its fine and effective how it is… making it 2200 would only make it empty mag quicker.

Use the TE4 if you want faster fire rate

What? Let me remind you that we have real weapons from World War II in the game with real characteristics.

I am in favor of all weapons having their correct real attributes. I don’t like artificial buffs or debuffs

Yeah and we’re also playing a game to have fun

Look at the MG81 and stinger

Stinger is an awesome weapon… fast fire rate, mag capacity and recoil.

MG81 which is supposed to be a counter that mind you has more fire rate than it has somehow worse sights than the stinger, less ammo and terrible recoil. It’s basically basically useless.

T100 MG which despite what some say that it’s such a bad weapon performs great in its sweet spot (Like in the hangers or houses)

Giving it 2200? RPM Would just make it a mag dumper and make it perform worse at what it’s good at… would have more recoil and that obnoxious fire rate is just so unnecessary, it already wiped squads standing next to each other and we all should know that at a certain point more fire rate becomes a disadvantage… of course in cases where the gun can actually sustain the fire… 50 rds (100 between each) already emptying decently quick i seriously couldn’t imagine how fast it would with 2200.

If you want the push the t100 completely out of general use and make it a niche bullet hose that barely shoots a squirt? Sure… by all means go ahead.

But as with the FG42 1 change these historical accuracy arguments are quite frankly ridiculous considering we are playing for enjoyment in the core of it.

But at the same time this game (as the spawn of War Thunder) has realistic armor and penetration values

IDK why people kept making this mistake

The Type 1 variant appears to be basically the same weapon as the earlier model, the Type 100. The Type 1 gun had a head or shoulder rest attached to the gun. This is not the same Type 1 machine gun as used by the Imperial Japanese Navy, which was a variant of the German MG 15 machine gun.

And where is my mistake?

Wikipedia is clearly the superior source :upside_down_face:

Honestly though, 2200 RPM on a machine gun with a weird shotgun dispersion mechanic could actually make it fun and unique
