American faction mortar units can use Two inch mortar and M2 mortar. two inch is BR II and M2 is BR IV.
What is the advantage of the M2 over the Two inch?

So the M2 mortar is a more powerful anti-personnel mortar.
I have finished training two mortar squads in the US faction, and I was going to put an M2 mortar in one of the teams, but I was not sure if I should use it or not, because it would be BR4 and it seems to not have the accuracy and power to destroy vehicles, unlike the German and Soviet high tier mortars.
I just now played a game and actually used the M2 mortar, and I feel that it is not much different from the Two inch mortar in terms of experience.
I would like to equip the M2 mortar because it is an iconic US weapon, but I thought it would be more fun to keep the squad rank of BR2 so that I can put my squad in various decks, so I will continue to use the Two inch for anti-personnel use.
