Turn off tank engine

I suggest giving tanks the ability to turn off and restart the engine. Good for an ambush or when doing dismounted recon - no sound and no smoke.

i feel like it would take a pretty long time to get your engine back on with alot of the tanks hah, and god knows id hate to die like that

I mean this was obviously done for ambush, but he’s got a point, some tanks “probably” are not designed to start quick…

It always amazes me how german tanks were driving with liquefied coal gasoline instead of diesel - because they had no real access to oil.

many tanks had electric starters, and batteries would be good if you had just turned off the engine a few instants ago (not a cold start). and they were used to get out of an ambush position. they just weren’t reliable.
cursory reading shows it was common in the later part of the war.

yep, and it the best way for unstuck your tank, or climb some terrain

I got one, but now all my progress and games are already on PS4. plus the PC is 14 years old and may only run the low end of games.

I don’t know which tanks could realistically do this as I know many were hand cranked for startup, which means you would have to start it from outside the vehicle.
