Either provide some player balance to this campaign or just get rid of it.
I have played hundreds of matches and this is what I have observed:
Allies capture the first point (doesn’t matter which map or game mode) in approximately 1 minute with maybe one or two players with 20+ kills and the rest of the team with nothing.
Sometimes the bots (which is mostly all you get on the Axis team) do not make it to the battle before the Allies start capturing the point. When they do arrive they are mowed down by a HMG or flamethrower (sometimes both) in a matter of seconds.
There is no point playing an engineer as there is no need for a rally point and no time to build one anyway.
The match lasts for maybe five to ten minutes at most as the Allies capture all points with ease.
I don’t know why human players don’t populate Axis teams, but without them it is pointless playing that campaign or even having it in the game.
This is a huge problem in Tunisia right now. The game is dying because one team with all Gold level players (very experienced, play all day types) just run over a team of inexperienced players and bots. Neither side is fun at all. This game is dying. People are complaining all of the time on the system.
Tunisia is the most lopsided campaign I’ve played by far and to me is a prime example of why the positives of this merge outweighs the negatives. Nobody plays that shit and we could easily do without it, and have those players populate a larger matchmaking pool.
Developers are lazy and rebalance campaign at such a low frequency, so players can feel which side is stronger in several day after a rebalance and to to play that side only for high win percentage and 1.5x XP multiplier, which then make the other side filled with bots and become weaker. So “rebalance” never do the intended job, it can only do nothing or flip the unbalance.
Correct which is why their getting rid of campaigns and forcing us to learn to play nice with each other. The ones who are sticklers about maps or guns that weren’t made for a few more months in the war will leave, the rest will stay and more new players will come. Then we will all be one happy family in a shared matchmaking pool.
A program based balancing algorithm is necessary, so rebalance can be carried out realtime without requiring developers to set manually. It need to vary mechanics side parameter to give similar win percentage of the two side, specific to time and server. One idea is generate mechanics side parameter for each match when starting, as a function of “weighted average previous win percentage” to achieve a balanced win probability at each different conditions. That average win percentage is calculated from win rate of previous day (to compensate unbalanced map and equipment) to certain weight plus previous 100 match (several minutes, to compensate unbalanced playerbase) on that server to certain weight.
While new majority get benefit, these old players may also not have to leave, the developers must continue improve the custom game so some ideas such as PVE and “more historical accurate” can be achieved in a playable way, or implement more choice of “like and dislike certain map” like War Thunder in the future. Please do not give a excuse to developers to be lazy and irresponsible to some old players which could still be considered as quite large population and profitable.
It not balanced because italians are not that appealing , guns are meh and since experience players chose allies playing with friends it reenforces even more others to join allies. there is no opposition so its seen as an opportunity to inflate the win rate and go flex.
I have been playing italians for weeks now and each match it a challenge but eh , it only makes you a better player.
Grinded normandy allies when it was unbalanced too and made it. No big deal.
With the new structure coming i dont think its a priority to work the balance.
This is a problem with the whole game, not just Tunisia. The Pacific is even worse but the other way around, with the Axis stomping on new players who want to be the Allies.
They are fixing it with a major update in a few weeks or so that will introduce a proper matchmaking system, where players are put in games depending on the level of gear they have. It also has a soft rule that will place you in the battle where your gear makes more sense, so if you have StGs, FGs, and Tigers equipped, you’ll end up in Normandy or Berlin.
It will be the make or break moment for this game.
there is no balancing algorythm in this game, no serious it just throws whoever is in the queue into the same match, but what there is an issue is a lack of interest in tunisia axis equipment. with literally everything except for 5 guns, and 7 vehicles are in other campaigns.
also you can get gold by just being consistent in this game =/
Yeah Tunisia is the only campaign with German equipment that I’m not grinding before the update it’s just not fun the Italian equipment seems to just suck and the late German unlocks are all unlockable elsewhere. I have all other Axis campaigns maxed. The only Italian unlock that even seems worthwhile is the plane you get as the very last unlock… no thanks…
