Italian tanks in Tunisia are good but they have some minor issue. Fixing it could give the player a better experience and be more historicaly accurate.
1 SWAP THE SEMOVENTE 75/32 WITH SEMOVENTE 75/18
Enlisted used 3d models and penetration models from warthunder so should be easy for the dev
Pros:
semovnete 75/32 never saw combat, it was a prototipe for the later semovente 75/34, semovente 75/18 actually fought in Tunisia
Semovente 75/18 have a pintle breda 38 mg usable by the commander when he pops out, it will be more usefull against infantry
1.1 give it the HE shell for anti infantry use, semovente 75/32 that we got now only have an AP shell
1.2 give it the HEAT shell for anti tank use(with it’s 100mm penetration is more than enough for the british Grant that is going to fight against, also historically this was the ammo italian semovente tankers used agains medium allied tanks)
2 LET THE AB41 COMMNDER POP OUT
like all other italian tanks the ab41 have 2 man turrets, why the commander can’t pop out while they did all the time historically? also the dev could add a pintle mounted breda 38 for him to use while out
3 GIVE THE AB41 BOTH HE AND AP AMMO
let players switch wich 20mm magazine they want to use, HE for infantry, AP for tanks
4 LET US USE THE HULL MOUNTED MG ON ALL TANKS
this is general for all campaigns
Exactly, why does it take so long to reload it’s not a belt. Me and my friend joke and say they are repacking the magazine every time or they have extreme butter fingers and constantly drop the magazine.
I’m not sure replacing half AB “shells” by HE ones would be a buff… there should be so few explosive filler in those I doubt it would act much differently than regular AP ones… meaning half your shells would become (more) useless vs other tanks.
Other suggestions seem fair… and like @VoyoMayPL said there could really be faster lmg reload time… I don’t get why it’s so long
Interestingly, the SU-85M has the same issue (Allies, Berlin). I’m rereading a book called Panzer Destroyer by Vasiliy Krysov (commanded a KV-1, T-34, SU-85 and an SU-122) and he relates that his SU-85 crew picked up an MG-42 to use for situations where they had close contact with infantry. (Obviously that means all tankers should have MGs. )
Edit: Not the problem I thought it was. Thanks, Practice Mode!
Except for 75/32, didn’t any of you notice that the reload time of M14/41 and M13/40(III) tanks was too long? The reload time is as long as M4A2 with 75mm main gun! The reload time is obviously 2.9 seconds, but it is the same as M13/40(I), lengthen out to 5 seconds.
