Tunisia Fortress East has a problem with the gray zone for defenders being way too far forward on the first objective, and allows the defenders to literally spawn camp the main spawn of the attackers. It also makes it near impossible to get past the first objective unless your team is significantly better than the enemy. It needs to be pulled back to just in front of the building that is objective. This does two things. First, it prevents the defenders from completely dominating the area from attacker spawn to objective and allows the attackers to actually push forward and reach the objective. Second, it forces the defenders to…DEFEND. They cannot move past the objective so they much stay on objective to keep it safe. Defenders should also not be allowed to go all the way to the trench line on the other side of the road. There’s no need for them to be all the way over there. Why are they there?
All in all the gray zone just needs to be tightened and cleaned up so the attacking team actually has a chance to attack the objective. Instead of just being spawn camped with literally no where to put a rally without it being either further back than main spawn or somewhere the defenders can easily reach and destroy it with impunity
I think we should look at spawn locations in general, many maps have vehicle spawns being super close to the objective, while other maps have a very far spawn locations.
Also some infantry spawns are strangely so close that placing rallies is not necessary.
If I have free time, I might collect some data and screen shot about messed up spawns.
If spawns get polished, the whole grey zone discussion would become obsolete.
infantry spawns favor defenders, vehicle spawns and positioning favors attackers. pushing that point with a heavy tank left side and a mobile tank right side cuts off defenders from the point and capping becomes very easy.
this objective is nicely implemented asymmetrical balance and sadly proves once again how enlisted players dont seem to think while playing the game.
If this would be actually true - I would say that this is by accident.
I know already a couple maps where the defenders have very broken vehicle spawns for defenders, like that one Berlin first objective where you have all those multiple craters. Or the Normandy airfield first objective where defenders can easily shoot right into the capzone.
Hard flanking is usually an option, but not too many players actually want to do that. Instead feed kills for defenders and force their push from main door.
