Let me know what you guys think.
I think it is too early to say anything.
There is some threads that people, including myself want to see Italy there, but there is no official info as of now.
There is something if you want to read something about what people think.
This is the one Iām waiting forā¦
Iād imagine Tunisia will evolve as time goes on and more content can be added. I feel at this time the term āCampaignā really doesnāt fit and itās more like a Battle. We have Berlin, Moscow, and Normandy with a few maps in the general area. Thatās not a full campaign in the traditional sense. Thereās a lot to it and it seems calling it āTunisiaā just doesnāt do it justice. This should be a specific battle⦠Tunis?
Itās the Battle I want to play and I hope they make it more different with more vehicle slots, Armored Personnel carriers, and a more dependence on vehicles. North Africa was heavily motorized and it would be interesting to switch it up.
Iād love to see a separate Kasserine Pass campaign. It was a huge learning experience for the US that is often overlooked. As time goes on, Iād expect the Italians and French will be introduced also opening up other possibilities. Can you imagine a Operation Torch landing campaign with Vichy French fighting US?
This game has a lot of possibilities and Iām enjoying the format.
I donāt really understand why you want the tanks to be Italian only⦠It will be super unbalanced and will favor the British side kinda a lot
I disagree with it being too early to say, but like the title says these are my own predications based on my knowledge of the campaign and using inferences from other campaigns in game. There is literally no point to having the Americanās carry a Lee Enfield in game when they had the Springfield already added. Countless Italian Weapons are on the axis side in game which make very little sense for their setting unless for pre-testing. Africa was an Italian affair with a German side show really. To have the Germanās over the Italians would be a massive mistake and I can only see them doing it to introduce the tiger tank which would be silly imo.
Campaigns will ultimately expand they have to. Normady without the British, Canadians, French, etc feels wrong and the battle of Moscow without Romanian troops leaves us wanting for a more.
You are correct those these are my educated guesses. We have nothing official.
Well said.
Which makes me think about RO2 - you know the campaign mode where players get to vote what sector theyāre going to attack after successfully winning the previous battle? That kind of thing is something I would love to see in Enlisted. Or something like Heroes & Generals where it offers FPS + RTS, and you control your Assault Teams (a bit like Squad in Enlisted) to a specific town.
A bit of both RO2 & H&G would be neat. The map doesnāt have to be so big in RTS, just crucial sectors in Berlin, Tunisia, Moscow and Normandy. You basically drag your Squads to a specific sector, and that sector has those resources thanks to your Squads, and that means tickets will be limited.
This kind of thing is something I would love to see, it may not happen immediately but I hope somewhere down the line where devs will consider about it once everything becomes more stable.
More for the experience. Like I said in the video it would be super lop sided and need help from the developers which I believe is do able.
Romanians were never even close to Moscow.
But if you look in those threads i already mentioned there i really want Italians to be there. But if we talk about Tunisian campaign, there were more Germans than Italians sadly, still they can easily be in first half of campaing and i want them there. They can pretty easily be there and they wont lack equipment except CAS, that imo should be German thing only in Tunisian campaign.
No help will save any of the Italian tanks you talked about from the Matilda or Churchill!
Even the valentine will be a jumbo for them
Semovente 75/18 can easily kill both of those tanks with HEAT rounds. Valentine can be easily killed by M14/41 from side.
Edit: As i already said, i would love to see first tank squad to be Italian and another Germans. That could easily work.
I talked about the tanks he mentioned. It wasnāt one of them.
So itās a jumbo⦠And no it canāt easily be killed only the Lower hull plate will be penable the M14 can destroy it by shooting the turret or hull
Again I didnāt respond to you⦠I tried āconvincingā him that the Italian tanks he mentioned alone will be pretty bad for balanceā¦
I apologize I havenāt fully awaken. I was referring to not having Romanians on the eastern front. The Tunisia Campaign was ultimately under Italian command and I would disagree with the numbers, but that isnāt really the point. We both agree that it should be an Italian Affair.
And i already said there would never be only Italian tanks. There would be Italian tank squad and German tank squad later in campaign.
Edit: Sorry, didnāt read it properly.
Or Panter IV vs Stuart, they also have problems to pen or even scratch those tanks in Normandy campaign. Jumbo is worse but still.
And even after there will be Shermans, M14/41 can kill it from side, and that is what you have to do in Stuart or Puma against top tier tanks. Also when there will be Tunisia there can already be campaign LVL matchmaking.
Sadly there were.
Here is OOB of Axis divisions from February 1943, there is more German divisions which means more German troops.
Army Group Africa[edit]
From February 1943:
- German Fifth Panzer Army ( 5. Panzerarmee ) (northern Tunisia)
- Italian 1st Army (southern Tunisia)
2 divisions more. I will defer that there was more troops on the ground for the Germans. Well played sir.
4 Divisions more, in Northern group there is only 1 Italian division, and in southern only 4, against German 9 total.
If there wont be afrika-korps in tunnisia i wll be very disapointted.
If there will be a mix of germans and italians vs british ans americans i will be very⦠eh not disapointed.
I hope there will be Italian/Germans vs UK/US/NZ/FR forces.
AK will be there for sure, but Italians have to be there too. It would be real disappointment if they woudnāt.
Tunisia campaign is just an empty folder and has never been tested for even ONCE. Considering their development speed, you may have to wait 2 or 3 years to play itā¦
I see that everyone here has made a lot of good points about which armies should fight in certain battles, but I wonder if thereās any reason why we couldnāt have more than 2 to select from? For example the Moscow campaign is fine as is, but the brits and Canadians had a part to play in Normandy, and the Italians and Aussies were both quite involved in north Africa, so would it be game breaking to just include them as an option when selecting your forces? Like for Normandy could it not be that if you fall on the axis side you play as the Germans but if you play for the allies you could have your pick of country? I donāt think this would damage the gameplay in any way as long as the new forces were balanced.
Guys, in this video all the history of the Tunisian Campain after 41:36 it will show the weapons (Allied and Axis) Tanks and planes
Remember that the Tunisia Campaign had two fronts
There were several battles as shown in the map below
In this campaign there were 6 main battles
