All jokes aside, from early on I just assumed this game was going to be a loss.
We struggled to take the first two objectives, getting down to about 90 tickets left, objective 3 was taken with a fight, but then things turned weird, objective 4 was cleared with a flamethrower of all things and then the Allied will to fight disappeared for the final objective.
One of the best games I have had so far, despite the nuclear explosion pack spam from this new ‘Throw grenade when downed’ thing
G Klaus also didn’t get the tropical uniform memo clearly
You’ve won while playing Axis in Tunisia? With nothing but bots on your team? It’s the shittiest campaign so far and the most dreadful experience trying out Axis.
One sided matchs are finally over in Tunisia. Sure, allies are still a bit more numerous here, but Axis does not suffer seal clubbing anymore. Wait next update, I’m sure that’s when Axis will get mg34 at last, and in those kind of maps it will shine.
Also when the Tiger finally appears, it will be Normandy 2.0 same as with Panther and mp43
In Berlin now the battles are often losing for the Soviets.
I played 2-3 games and lost 3 times.
I hope the balance will not be in the direction of Italians in Tunisia and Germans in Berlin.
It’s because Moscow hardcore players fled to Berlin. Too many new players with lil controller icons that kangaroo jump around the field… So gameplay became meh…
Tunisia is hands down the worst campaign for map design, and I thought fucking NORMANDY was bad. The only time I was able to have a fun experience in Tunisia was day 1 of Custom Matches before the devs ruined it by reducing the amount of bots.
I haven’t really had many issues with it so far. Maybe the only concern is in Destruction when the points are on different sides of a river… Why is that a problem? Because 90% of the time one of the points stays empty so you can easily set a charge and by the time the first enemies show up you should have enough people around to defend it.
Tanks best weapon against in Tunisia is the machine gun. That’s sad. Splatter damage is rare. I can dominate in a tank in other campaigns, but Tunisia it’s frustrating.
Let me guess: you can’t camp in the gray zone and farm. Otherwise I have no idea what you are talking about. I can do just as fine with the A13 in Tunisia as I can with most tanks in other campaigns because I’m used to moving up with our infantry. Tanks aren’t supposed to dominate everything and everyone by themselves.
I think it would be worth considering though. If something is bad for them, that’s a good change.
Oh yes, when they are actively encouraging the defenders to just sit on the point and never ever try to look out for some fun and/or kills which ends up in the first capture point never getting captured.
Tunisia doesn’t look ugly but I hate the map design for gameplay. It’s way too open with little to no feasible cover unless you’re in a congested part of the map. I just can not have an enjoyable experience in Tunisia, and I’ve considered abandoning the campaign entirely. Although Berlin and Normandy have their own unique frustrations.
In my opinion, Destruction mode sucks right now. Requiring players to fight for two points is not fun, and it’s why I leave every Assault match as well. Invasion is simple but you can still just have fun with it.
Tunisia: fair. We have different playstyles so our experiences aren’t the same.
Destruction: yep. Sucks. The idea was good, but the implementation is far from good as it is right now.
Invasion: Cap point
Assault: Cap two points, one point will become uncapped meanwhile you cap 2nd
Destruction: Cap two points, keep holding it for a while after you finished cap or it may be uncapped
Conquest: Run around from red cap to red cap and hope one day you will get the “10 caps in one match” achievement
