Tunesia - Engineer squad unlock too late

Having first engineers at level 9 is just a bad game design. I know that progression is out for like an hour, but grinding to lvl 9 without ability to build spawn points makes the game much less tactical-focused. It also discourages players to use engies on their earlier, more developed squads. Knowing how to use engineers should be basic ability for every player, so you have to enable them to learn that as soon as possible.

It also encourages players to buy premium bundles featuring an engineer

concidences do not exist only events that are very connected to each other

Yea really need engineers much earlier down the progression tree like it makes no sense that you literally have a sniper squad straight off the bat and not something useful like an engineer squad.

You really do need engineer squads to keep momentum while attacking and provide the team with much needed ammo at points.

The progression with the new campaign just seems borked.

unlocks engineer early still nobody uses them.

yes this is also an issue in most matches i seem to be the only person placing ammo, spawn points and other fortifications.

Actually i say only there sometimes are a few others but rarely.

Instead, we have far less useful squads early on.

Because clearly, players have good use for fighters that have no payload, and only machineguns unlocked very early into the campaign.

The upgrade trees in all early level squads have engineers, if you mean you cannot bud AT, AA that is different.

… The point of the image was to literally illustrate that across all campaigns, engineers are unlocked at level 3 instead of 9.

You can unlock them as a squad option, but you won’t have an engineer in the squad untill you unlock them at level 9. You can’t get an engineer soldier on logistics befor reaching the campaign level.

I’m currently at level 10 on axis side. Rank 9 engineer isn’t a problem or even hard to get.
(I deliberately only played maps that I was attacking to maximise my xp earnings as fast as possible so I can deal with this 15 levels on both sides as fast as I can,so I can finish berlin allied campaign befor Tunisia test is over.)

We don’t see others placing spawn points, or ammo or what ever, because only cbt users with the moto pack are capable of leveling and get them.

This will change, once everyone is able to level, so a rank 9 eng. Squad isn’t as bad as it sounds.

Judging How cbt was populated, most of current playerbase in Tunisia is freetoplay with no option to rank. They get no engineers so they can’t place them.

Only us, the ones that bought the packs, can place them.

This, hopefully will change. And getting rank 9 isn’t that hard of a task. Everyone will have a eng squad in no time. Once, the option to everyone level is deployed.

I will get rank 9 tomorrow. However unless in Tunissia things are different, rank 9 won’t provide an engineer quite like one in motorcycle squad. Effectively we have eng 2 squad, though very fragile. I like it.

After the update, I do agree with you.

On cbt they were kinda useless since the bike controls were all over the place x)

But indeed, we have a level 2 eng. With all options unlocked and can play with smgs.

What more do we need

A free version of the moto squad migh apear. With the option to have an engineer too. Sadly, he won’t have all the building options to play with.

yeah, but thats only for paying guys. To keep f2p game running you need tons of f2p players. Striping them of the possibility to contribute to the team is just plain stupid. Grinding to lvl 9 without premium takes about 10-15 hours, that helluva time
