Hello comrades!
(i am doing great progress with my work and i might be able to be more active soon again
)
I am very excited for the stalingrad campaign and the customization. I was quite surprised when i saw the list of weapons being added to stalingrad:
-
no PPSH with stick magazine?
-
germans get trophy PPSH but russians get the breda instead of the german MP40?
(trophy ppsh=mp40 / or rather mg34 and dp27 would make sense)
-
why the breda at all? was it even used in stalingrad?
-
also why tompson?
-
No PPD40 drum mag?
I am a little dissappointed when i saw those things, and i am scared of stalingrad not feeling like russia because american italian and even more foreign weapons being used and the most common weapons like PPSH stick magazine and PPD Drum magazine missing.
What do you think ?

Stalingrad is a paid test campaign so is pretty normal if the lv are f*cked but if i can ask for change
For russian
- Mp40 has to low firerate for russian standard (no trophy)
- Pps42 need to be the 1st smg
- Pps43/ppsh41 (box)/ppd40 (box) the 2nd smg
- The breda need to be change with the madsen
- Thompson is a land-lease so ok
For german
- Mp38 instead of the mp28
- Mp35/41 instead of the mp40
- Add a stug
For everyone
- Avt40/mkb42h removed (really this is tooo much)

The squads are going to be a total clown world. German squads will be 4 assaulters with PPSHs and the rest armed with MKB 42s. Might as well just do a modern conflict at this point

more than 100,000 italian soldiers passed away, injured or captured in stalingrad
do you think that guys fight without mg?

PPD-34 is too rare at this point of the war as it was already replaced by the PPSh and some trophy MP38/MP40s.
I have some stocks of PPD-40 and its really unfortunate that I won’t be able to send them to Stalingrad which is stupid.

I really miss the point of putting the mkb and the Avt into this campaign. I mean they should somehow limit the use of experimental weapons in general. Like one or two soldiers of a player can carry them and the rest goes with standard issue guns.
It is somewhat immersion breaking to see so many mkb’s FG’s and Avt’s etc. on the battlefield.

Except that the Russians got it and not Axis…
yea kinda makes no sense, since it is basically the worst MG in the entire game.

The issue is that it’s given to the Soviets and not the Axis. The Breda will be the most populous Allied MG on Stalingrad because it’s the first one players obtain.
yeah, but better than madsen
madsen was only stuck in reserve warehouse in moscow
The Soviets had the Madsen from when the Russian Empire purchased them though. That is a way easier excuse and more believable to be commonly equipped than a weapon that was looted off Italian soldiers.
that’s more than 30 years before
more unreliable than captured weapons
This game, if you ask me, is soviet bs enough. Also, I don’t think there is a need to cry earlier for such little things. I think the developers have reserved space for certain premium squad options, as well as for trophic weapons (which I think will be more in the Stalingrad campaign in the future).
And? The issue I have is the common occurrence of captured weapons rather than the performance of said weapons. The Breda is captured, not a lend-lease. It will end up the most abundant LMG in the game due to it’s position in the campaign. I would rather have a lend-lease or a Soviet weapon there.
madsen isn’t land-lease or soviet weapon
it used until russian civil war and in ww2, it use as reserve weapon in moscow
it never fire to enemy
I understand what you think, but madsen is more unrealistic weapon for me
If Soviets were to use capture trophy Axis MGs, MG34 is more common than Breda besides captured MP40s being one of the most common use of captured weapons in the Red Army.
PPSH trophy for the Germans should be replaced with a modified captured variant to spice things up a bit. We should instead get a MP717(r) or a MP41(r). Breda is kinda meh as well but im not sure what could replace it. Maybe some landleased American or British mg?
Still could live without the Breda.
