Hi, this is a thread to chat about the transport vehicle units that were added in the last update. Did you guys like it?
I really liked the truck and APC teams added in the update. The ability to quickly create a sortie point near or behind an enemy CP is just fascinating, and the fact that they don’t use sound to let you know where they are like rally points is great.
It certainly stands out for its appearance and gives the enemy a massive scoring bonus if they inadvertently encounter enemy tanks while moving.
However, it is fun to casually park it behind a static object truck left on the road or casually park it on the road and the enemy player will think it is just an ornament and hardly notice it.
This is right behind the Japanese CP, but the Japanese soldiers didn’t notice my truck reflected here until the end of the game.
Now I want to talk about my imagination here, maybe someday LVT-4 or LCVP will be added for Pacific.
It is fun to imagine when that happens. They should have a unique mechanism to depart from the water and land on any beach to become a spawn point.
I have seen LCVPs riding off the shores of Guadalcanal Island as static objects on the map, and the LVT-4 is already in the game, the wonderful tank LVT(A)(1) is my turret-less version. I may see them in the game in the really near future.
Just as it used to be in Tunisia, stick em in a transport bus/truck, and they actually shoot things, become animated,
and funny enough, with the truck, i find i don’t want them shooting things(unless i am just driving around distracting enemy’s is fun ), the duel MG with BR V MG, as i am trying to get truck to spot.
oh the irony.

For some reason, when the bots get in the vehicle, they suddenly become aggressive and shoot the enemies around them!
I was playing with a free truck squad when I discovered an enemy infantry unit holed up in a house near the road where I was trying to park. I got impatient, but while I was circling the building with my truck, the bot was shooting at them messily and the enemy inside the building was wiped out.
If they are not tanks, it might be a good idea to leave the shooting to the bot and engage them.
Not realising that I infact had an enemy transporter park right in front of me also happened to me already, almost lost a fresh spawned tank because of it.
I don’t think this a balance issue though, people will adapt and learn the differences sooner or later.
I did, some improvements need to be done though, the UI icon, steering wheel animation obviously, personally I would love an auto kicking off feature when deployed and the truck is not moving or does not have APC driver at all, because it’s kind of tedious to leave the vechicle each time you spawn.
this is both good and bad, I haven’t seen an enemy APC yet, as a target and overall as a vechicle just existing. They could make a noise, perhaps the engine running or be visually different to spot them more easily.
oh yea and also the controllable landing crafts for D-Day too.
What is this? Is this an unused track in the editor?
If so, perhaps LVT-4 will indeed be added in the future and the graphics for this track will then be replaced with LVT-4.
yea i love these APC and i didnt regret buying them and it give me massive amount of point when i play serious (cant play serious since quest are too rng to chill)
