Transform AVT-40 (15) into a legacy weapon

It’s clear to almost everyone that AVT-40 (15) has lost any purpose for its existence (unless you end up making it even better or worsen the AVT-40 (20)).

But I suggest something else.

Transform AVT-40 (15) into a legacy weapon, making it exclusive to all those who wasted their resources on a now obviously obsolete copy paste weapon that has lost any meaning to its existence.

Plus, it would no longer be a grinding obstacle in the Tech tree.
It really doesn’t mean much that you put the AVT-40 (20) in the folder, as players are forced to research and buy the first weapon out of the folder in order to have access to the foldered weapon.

And the tech tree wouldn’t contain two copy pasted weapons that are identical in ingame model, differ only by a magazine. (Which is extremely cheap)

I disagree.

The 15 was the primary model. The 20 was a limited experiment

Yes is a little bit of bloat but I don’t want the original removed

They should’ve just made the 20 an event reward or maybe BP

Not like that matters for Enlisted either way.

It’s very unlikely they’re going to change their decision for the second time. I myself am not big fan of it as well.

AVT-20 (15) is inside a folder with AVT-20 20. They could move it to folder of AVS-36 and not force anyone to grind it.

The opposite is true. AVT-40 (20) is inside a folder with AVT-40 (15)

The way the folder is currently implemented forces you to grind the (15) variant.
It literally completely kills any sense of the existence of this folder. (Just a reflection of their “competence”)

Doesn’t really change anything about the fact TT is gonna include 2 copy pasted weapon, with one being clearly superior to other.

Legacy status would give the weapon at least some kind of value.

yeah, there are quite some weapons that could be moved to legacy status, like whats the point of MP43/1 over STG44? why MP38 when its very simmilar to MP40 (MP40 is already kinda obsolete)
Whats the deal with the Volkssturm “Kriegsmodell” Kar98k? it unlocks after the base version and is worse in every aspect.

there are a bunch of guns that easily could be removed from the TT, to make weapon unlocks meaningful - however I would also like to argue, as long as we keep coming up with balance ideas, removing guns too harshly could remove future BR reductions / increases.

Strange - someone flag its off-topic but it is not: Also I need a lot Lecay Pz 3 N and some mp-717 - but I never get it even if I m a stalingard owner - and that makes me sad. So i dont like any lecay content in this game even if I am a more veteran then any of you - Do not add more legacy

Your so right Adam, in fact I think we should remove all mkb/mp43 variants in the tech tree because there outclassed by the stg44. Also all allied br2 bolt actions should also be removed because the lee Enfield no.4 outclasses them, while we’re at it why dont we only keep 1 mg per br and 1 smg for each br because there’s no need to have weaker variants to grind through, duh :roll_eyes:.

Please no…now what I am going to use in my historically accurate squads? I guess an AVS, but I’m pretty sure the AVT was used more commonly. Definitely not the 20 round magazine.

I have a feeling that it was supposed to be a BP or event reward but they swapped it with the silenced PPSH after the backlash. If that’s the case, then I think we’re getting the better option.
