Torpedo Planes?

Anyone else notice that the new top tier planes added for US and Japan in Pacific are torpedo planes? AP-1 and B5N2. That can’t be an accident…

I mean, they want to give us new type of aircraft weapons, so maybe? Together with new Pacific battle. Soo maybe with progression system we will finally get custom loadouts?

It means nothing lol. The E13A1 and SOC1 are both hydroplanes, the D3A1 and SBD3 are both dive bombers. So why is AP-1 and B5N2 both torpedo planes have anything special?

Torpedo planes attack only one target. Ships.
It would be interesting to see large ships in combat in the future…

This battle pass poster also hints at boats… Not sure if it means anything.

And as the only feature of the major update

They mentioned submarines in the description of the AP-1

Lol, I would love to see them. :joy:

The carries should be destroyable as a main target

Those carriers are frightening. Never approaching those ever again! Got fooled twice with them.

First time, I thought I bugged when my plane exploded mid air, for no apparent reason. Second time, as I tried to race an enemy fighter back, I realized that a carrier shooting naval gun calibers (seriously, carriers didn’t have such big calibers, did they?), was perhaps a tad overkill for my poor plane. I learnt my lesson and patiently wait for my opponent to come back outside of range…

Those are normal 127mm Dual-Purpose guns used on almost every class of ship in US Navy at that time.

well.

“It was super effective.”

They had 5in guns as well as tons of smaller AA guns

This happen when your will is to weak

Yes. That day, I failed the Emperor. So I committed sepuku while still in my flaming wreck plunging down (effectively over killing myself, with honour.)

Those I know… But we see no tracers, nor flashes from the carrier. All that happens, is your plane explodes in mid air with the “killed by 127mm” info. It’s automatic, therefore impossible to dodge :stuck_out_tongue:

They were probably using the proximity fuze.

I suggested this previously and they suggested it was something they were considering for the future.

Because there would be no reason for them to add them as ground attack planes, when they already have ground attack planes and there are also many more that they haven’t added yet. The only reason to specifically add torpedo planes is because they are planning on having ships to target.
