the only advantage of open top is that it has greater view.
but in Enlisted open tops are trapped in its periscope and cannot see the outside whatsoever.
this ironically makes open top less situationally aware, despite open top in real life has better situational awareness thanks to better visibility.
Right now, SU-76M, Ta-Sé, 8,8cm truck, M13, M10, M8 and M18 can peek out
(N.B. M8 and M18’s commanders are default peeking out)
Whilst Dicker Max, Marder III and Ho-Ni 1 cannot peek out and playing it feels claustrophobic.
And there is no consistency why some open top can peek out whilst other open top cannot.
SU-76M and Dicker Max came out together but only su-76m can.
Marder 3 came out last update but it don’t have ability to peek out.
