now before everyone starts yelling at me,
Yes, I mainly play as a tanker,
yes I sit in the greyzone quite often.
however, I think that the greyzone is in no way the problem, instead the problem has always been map design.
ever since the greyzone is gone on many maps, people started going for revenge kills instead of playing the actual objective - and the worst part, often they straight up spawn camp vehicle spawns now.
This gameplay is not only unfair, you should never be able to hurt someone in his spawn ( you should also never be able to shoot into the objective from within your greyzone, again map design needs improvement)
but but but… it also is destructive for the game itself, seriously, every time someone gets 100 meters+ behind the frontline just to take out my tank, I simply respawn after few seconds and kill the spawnkiller myself.
While I only lost 20 seconds, the enemy lost minutes to get all the way across the map only to get one vehicle kill - time which he should have invested in actually playing the game.
So regardless of all the crying here on the Forums about grey zone campers, some sort of spawn protection is absolutely needed in order to create a structural battlefield and a working frontline, something that the game has been amazing at so far.
And one last thing, Tanks are supposed to stay behind. They are supposed to give support fire from behind the frontline, a concept that Enlisted has managed to implement amazingly into the game, yet it seems this concept is getting removed slowly.
I say despite people disliking it, explosive charges need to be powerful again in order to punish over extending tankers, map design needs to be adjusted in order to punish players that dont play the objective
greyzones need to be adjusted so that they give total protection from enemy fire, while also not allowing to directly fire into the objective.
