What are your thoughts on these two tanks? Are they viable to use? Are they fun? Is one significantly better than the other for the tier?

Churchill is a beast. I highly rate this tank, Good HE and tough to crack. Devastated many a team.
I like the Matilda and it “can” be a beast (especially if you are matched BR 1). But its gun is pretty small

Common shermans now have better armor, and 105mm its a HE beast, Churchill 3 its extreme low, but your armor its the best in br3 and downtier, dont overheat your MG
about matilda, same as churchill, you re a heavier tank in your br, keep cold your MG
Maybe you can buy Churchill and A.C.I, have less armor but have the best MG of all the game, Vickers 7.7, that mg never overheated

Both tanks have the same pros and issues - they have better armor for their BR, but worse guns.
Churchill has the BR2 Crusader gun, Matilda got the BR1 A13 gun.
Its honestly weird - their extra armor doesn’t matter enough since its still not strong enough to make a difference, but this has overall more to do with the fact that German tanks play like glass canons.
Personally I don’t like to play tanks that are useless when being uptiered tho.
Also - I have noticed that Matilda is pretty OP against low BR Japanese.
