Br is purely based of point balnce not authentic place. If we just have pure br we will se tiger 2s rolling in tunisia or is2s fighting in moscow. In the other words, backwards compatibility dhouldnt exist forwards compability is ok. But pz 2 or pz 3 n in berlin is not anachronistic

Accordimg to your logic lets remove every bolt action except 1 for each nation. Since wast majority just want spawn to ast rifles, smgs and semi autos anyway

But now we have some late war weapons (volkssturm) that has to be considered low BR and equal to weapons from early war.

I think a timeline filter will work many problems out (not all ofc).
Low level BR match ups - > send to all maps (Moscow, Stalingrad and Berlin).
High level match ups - > send only to Berlin.
If MM fails to deliver and one of 20 players have high level BR (and tanks like Tiger II or IS 2) - > send them only to Berlin.

Yes, it will work fine for europe. But i cant still figure out a good solution for japan
