At least fw 190 d-12 cant enter landing stage in high speed (not even max speed). For tanker like me its st new.

they break off at roughly 400 tas, so yeah, deploy them only at low speed
Landing flaps position is for low speed only. It should be at least below 250km/h (probably closer to 200km/h) for WW2 airplanes, but this game’s flight model is simplified so you could perhaps get away with being a bit faster. Definitely not 416km/h, though

A tas of 400 is crazy fast to land; I’d suggest keeping it below 200 as you approach, just above stall speed, and keep your plane parallel to the ground. Lower your throttle to reduce altitude and just as you’re touching down flare the nose up just a bit to get the tail on the ground. Then you can cut the engine and apply brakes, carefully to avoid nosing into the ground.
