Time for a split? Arcade vs Realistic

Yeah but it isn’t as obvious as vulkssturm weapons in Moscow or Tunisia or Moroccans in Normandy or pacific. But the merge is aiming to turn this game into cod vanguard and if it turns it into vanguard then it’s lights out for me personally, would uninstall too. And I’m assured I’m not alone in doing that. At least now it has a campaign system where everything’s organized. If the merge is no where close to the organization the campaign has then this game is doomed.

wtf you mean it is not obvious? fedorov wasnt used after winter war and it is most used rifle in multiple campaigns. japan is almost full of paper weapons. us didnt use springfields as regular weapons for riflemen. germany used mostly k98k, but we have squads full of fg42 which was paratrooper weapons made in limited quantities.
and i could list dozen more examples…

I always say this, I view this game as semi historical. It has prototypes and stuff and that is fine, but overall there should be some levels of historical integrity

I don’t even know how it has gotten to the point where it is controversial for Volkssturm to be in Berlin

Take a prototype like the Dicker Max, ok in real life it was used during the battle of Stalingrad. But the merge wants to throw everything together so all I say is this. The Dicker Max and Panzer Flamm were used in 1942, what campaigns at least cover 1942; Stalingrad and Tunisia. Then I would settle with seeing the Dicker Max and Panzer Flamm in Stalingrad and Tunisia. But I don’t want to see them in Normandy or Berlin

problem is that 1 player can force other 19 players constantly in berlin cause he has equipped volkssturm weapons

I think a better solution would be we have designated loadouts for campaigns. Matchmaking will still throw all maps together

Click play and get sent to Normandy → your Normandy loadout. Play sent to Berlin ->Berlin loadout

which would defeat the point of merge… that is to get rid of campaigns and their queues. goal is to reduce number of mm queues not to have them remain the same or increase them with added new campaigns.

I said there wouldn’t be any individual campaign queues. Click play and you can get sent to any map

The point is we can have say 10 or whatever loadouts for individual battles. So in the main menu you customize your loadout for this or that battle, click play, and you use whatever you picked

i prefeer

Hardcade, its a arcade whit hardcore features

No pen indicator
no objetive indicator (like red orchestra, tactical map, press a key and you can see all the hud tactical hud)

Yeah but can hardcade keep certain weapons in the right time periods and could I keep my ammo count in hardcade? Except just have to manually pull the map up? If that’s so then I’d be down for it.

Half baked is still half baked.

No. Only in 1941 and surviving tanks were transformed into TDs.

What’s half baked. If it’s a prototype it should only be in whatever period closest to it. Or I think the Federov should only be in Moscow or at least Stalingrad as well.

Then maybe it was just the source I read

I agree with you here about the prototypes. As I see them as they’re just supposed to keep the game from being repetitive but as long as they’re in the appropriate time periods and battles then they should be fine being in the game.

shall we go over sources where fedorov shouldnt be anywhere post winter war? cause they were all almost destroyed in it? it makes absolutely no difference if you use fedorov in army in moscow or at berlin at that point. not to mention usage of other obsolete weapons/vehicles ingame.

prototypes also dont make sense cause you had max 10-50 of them made and average player can spawn hundreds of them in battle. not to mention when multiple players have prototype weapons equipped.

you are keeping one standard where it is sacrilege to have volkssturm weapons in moscow, but have no problem with obsolete, limited and prototype weapons being used in campaigns. that is what is half baked.

Mkb wasnt in Moscow.

  • Never mind. Because there might be PrOtO and Moscow lasted until January 1942 so it conpletely justifies a weapon that was accepted into service 1943 and at best maybe was limited used in Leningrad spring 1942.
Thats semi-historical because I say so. I also say it might be maybe in Stalingrad even though Moscow is already far fetched.

Oh and also please enjoy getting wrecked by IS-2s with you MP3008s because custom battles is not enough for me.

Cant wait for the Tiger to show up in Stalingrad and Moscow because entered service in 1942.

What is so hard to understand about my logic. Why do you think I say “semi” historical. If this game only had 1 for 1 what was used in WW2 we’d only have maybe 30 total guns.

I can accept prototypes and rare stuff, but in order to maintain atmosphere they should be in whatever period they plausibly make sense

The Federov was a late WW1 gun. What is the earliest Eastern Front campaign; Moscow and technically Stalingrad. That period was basically the Soviet’s darkest hour before they pulled up their pants in 1943. So fine WW1 Gun, desperate times, Moscow and or Stalingrad

If the Maus was in game it should only be in Berlin.

We have crossed the point of no return with all the prototypes and stuff, in my view at least we can make it fit in

It’s the late war Battle of Berlin. Late war Soviet tank. Late war last ditch SMG. What’s the controversy

Because 99% isnt you and want balanced matches.
When can you get that?

And when Tiger in Moscow?

I understand that, but I will just say why the heck did they get a WW2 game in the first place, what did they expect

This excuse is old. WW2 didnt had greyzones, ahistorical squad layouts, a set number of tanks and planes, a grind and spam of specialists.
On other words, this game is arcade, which often sacrifices realism whatever for balance and ehm fun I guess.
Also when Tiger in Moscow?
