The Tiger 2 Sla.16 features a diesel engine with an additional 50 horsepower over the standard Tiger 2. It additionally features a more armored turret with the placement of spare tracks.
The benefits over a standard Tiger 2 are not too excessive, so the overall balance of the BR would not be impacted

No? It seems to be an upgrade over Tiger 2 H except maybe some hidden thing not mentioned here and or the track armor on the sides is enough to slow the vehicle down
And it’s own squad would have two “bad” outcomes
A: Further increase the problem of noobs using BRV event stuff and killing the games for people actually of the tier (it being in its TT squad would prevent that)
B: Allow pre merge players to cycle tiger 2H, Tiger 2P and this (And for post merge, you don’t need two tigers… period)
i main germany and even i dont think people should be able to cycle king tigers
Forgive my bluntness but what does armor on the side have anything to do with being able to get penned from the turret cheek.
Or do soviet tanks get the cold war aphe that is in WT and can pen the side of turret from any other angle that isn’t head on
There are no angle that can block shell from penetrating front of it’s turret. It’s always a pen.

Whatever, I can already cycle Two tigers and JP. But I don’t do it, as it is waste of squad slots. Literally BR2 tanks have better anti infantry capabilities. The only thing those BR5 tanks have are armor. But the armor became completely obsolete, as you can have guy with Ofenrohr in nearly every squad.
The armor works only against other tanks.
King tigers are far from being something OP or broken. It is very good only against other tanks, otherwise it’s completely mediocre in every way.
But as I have said, if it’s not going to have seperate squad. Then don’t add it. It is not upgrade to classic king tiger in any meaningful way. As you would need a slightly better engine to drive 50-100m per objective lol.

What do you mean no angle can block shells, the flat front of the Tiger 2H’s turret face is 185mm thick.
Better engine is quite literally a direct upgrade wether it being minuscule or not but in hindsight i do see how maybe it wouldn’t be much.
Trust me i know the tracks are a gimmick though considering my 76 sherman could pen right through it while everyone was begging for the pershing

You shouldent go alone with the tank then of course will come a guy and blow you up with ofenrohr stay with infantry of course so you dont kill them but they can protect ya from enemy and thats for all tank not only Tiger2

I wouldn’t mind using it as an activity vehicle. Activity vehicles could be better, but it’s shameful for you guys to demand something by ignoring your weapon advantages.
Don’t both IS-2s use the same gun?
The cannon is the same, but the penetration of the shells is different, and the penetration of the IS-2 is even worse.
