The economy has been, and remains to be in the toilet.
The devs seem to take more time ensuring older players are equally broke with newer players every time a new economy update rolls in. (Academy knives, weapon/vehicle parts for orders, sell prices, etc.)
But hey, we made upgrades slightly cheaper!
(No, we didn’t count upgrading tier 3-5 stuff to +2 and +3. Lmao.)
I propose we:
Tier 1 - 500 silvers
Tier 2 - 1000 silvers
Tier 3 - 1500 silvers
Tier 4 - 2250 silvers
Tier 5 - 3000 silvers
Along with their respective upgrade costs.
Garands shouldn’t cost the same as M2 Carbines
G41s shouldn’t cost the same as FG 42 IIs
SVT-38s shouldn’t cost the same as AVT-40s
Type Otsus shouldn’t cost the same as Type Hei Autos
Apply the same logic for vehicles:
Tier 1 - 2500 silvers
Tier 2 - 5000 silvers
Tier 3 - 7500 silvers
Tier 4 - 10000 silvers
Tier 5 - 15000 silvers
A Panzer IV J shouldn’t cost the same as Tiger IIb (H)s
An M4A1 shouldn’t cost the same as an M4A2 76mm
A T-34 shouldn’t cost the same as an IS-2
A Chi-Ha Short Gun shouldn’t cost the same as a Ho-Ri Prototype
Shoot ain’t even back 24 hours and already got people complaining and reporting my crap
Suck it up and deal with it. You asked for economy changes, and they gave you economy changes. Maybe appreciate being heard for once instead of saying it’s not enough
The catch is that, in the current BR system, BR 4 should cost less than BR 3. The latter gives you a chance at becoming god amongst mortals while the former guarantees for you to be placed amongst BR 5 players.
That’s really the main part of the economy update that I’m discontent with. F2P players will remain in the BR 4 hole for a long time due to the exp pricing, so I think this should have been addressed in an economy update aimed at being beginner-friendly.
Outside of that, I think the login reward increase is fair because they do want you to play for a few matches every day rather than grinding consistently, and making that more rewarding is a balanced move.
i think the quickest and easiest solution would be making most Tier 3 stuff 5 stars. The whole system needs some deep changes, for example the 3 BARs are BR III and cost all the same.
…Which we should be thankful about, so a player can research high tier stuff efficiently also by playing low tiers, unlike WT where tier related restrictions de facto prevent you from doing that.
Unless you’re premium player. You have very low chance to get any proper income at higher BRs if you are average or lesser skilled player (unless something has changed since the last time I’ve played WT).
So you are basically forced to play lower BRs just to farm silver lions anyway. xD
I’ve been saying the same since the merge. With the current matchmaking, there may as well be no distinction at all between BR 1 and 2, same with 4 and 5.
I’ve got roof-tall piles of BR IV weapons laying around unused in my inventory, because why should I use them, if they are going to send me into the same matches I would find with BR V guns, which I also own plenty of, and are better?
If I’m going to BR V anyway, why use a G-43 when I can use an FG-42?
Why use a PPD when I can use a Fedorov?
Why use one of the many BR IV Thompsons when I can use a drum one?
As far as I can tell, AFTER THE REVIEW BOMBING SH#TSTORM, the main economic improvement has been that WITH PREMIUM ACCOUNT you can’t end matches with negative lions anymore, if you lose too much in ammo and repairs you get a partial refund to net 0 income.
Much in the same way you can lower the required gear and investment to play compently by playing in lower BRs, this removes the incentive to play BR3-4 because they’d be nothing but filler content.
Rationally, this means a good chunk of the content in the game is pointless.
We have a tiered system with no incentive to even move up the tiers for anything other than novelty.
IMO, the upgrade from BA to full power semiauto is a big enough improvement to be worth stepping into BR III. At least for US with Garands and RU with SVT38. (Arguably not so much for Germany and Japan, whose BR III semiautos aren’t as good.)
I wouldn’t call rifles the prime killing tools to use when everyone can just run around with automatics just fine. Especially if upgrading your rifles meant you might face entire rosters of soldiers using nothing but automatics.
