Thus, the famous Premium Squads. My view. (let's talk about them)

There has been a lot of discussion lately, especially in the forum, about the so-called Premium Squads (P.S for short as of now) in the game. I would like to express my opinion on this. This may be a long enough post, so I will be GRATEFUL to those people who will read and delve into my arguments.

Table of contents:
1.- What are P.S and how do they benefit game developers
2.- P.S pluses.
3.- P.S minuses.
4.- Suggestions for the future. My opinion, etc.

Subtheme 1:
P.S stands out in the game of having unique weapons in arsenal that are not available to other classes, as well as the premium weapons have a maximum level and soldiers have a rank of 4 with all 4 perks unlocked and 4 bonus retraining points. Premium squads receive + 100% experience gain in battles for soldiers and campaign level. These bonuses are cumulative with a Premium Account.

For game developers, these P.S are financially beneficial. P.S is almost no different from the usual microtransactions in the game. The player receives a certain bonus and uniqueness for real money, while supporting the developers. P.S are not mandatory in any way.

Subtheme 2:
Let’s move on to the main pros of these squads, which I personally see from a purely gameplay side. I will try to list even the smallest ones.

1.- Unique weapons not available to any other normal squad. And some, indirectly, may be a counterweight to the weapons already in the game. (for example, the German MP 40/I with a double clips is a good option the Berlin campaign to somewhat counter Soviet PPSH., etc.)
2.- Unique looking soldiers.
3.- Maximum soldier equipment unlocked slots, thus immediately allowing maximum armament for soldiers, and throwing them into battle without any extra grind. It is possible to immediately put on a secondary weapon, make the most of a large backpack, and so on.
4.- Soldiers come with a ready-made perks pool, and which is allowed to change according to your liking. (Perks can be changed and this is one of the things that is not locked).
5.- P.S is a great starting option for people who are just starting to play Enlisted.
6.- P.S is a great choice for people who don’t want or don’t have the time to invest in a game but want to still feel the full potential possible.
7.- Player with P.S has the opportunity to have both SMG squad, MG squad, engineer squad and airplane and tank squad practically immediately.
8.- With a premium acc, the P.S bonus is added up, and for a simple casual player this can be a very big plus.

Subtheme 3:
Let’s try to highlight the main disadvantages of these P.S currently in the game.

1.- P.S soldiers cannot be promoted to the maximum rank.
2.- P.S squads are premade, and there is no way to put other soldiers into them. (one of the main problems at the moment. At the very beginning of these squads, there was no such thing. It was changed later.)
3.- In the hands of an experienced player, these squads are practically worthless, because in the later stages of the campaign, having only 4 soldiers becomes very unprofitable even considering the bonuses they give.
4.- P.S are infinitely expensive. In my opinion, far too expensive.
5.- Some P.Ss are practically worthless from their playful point of view and have no logic or game value. (e.g. MP-18 squad in Normandy)

Sub-theme 4:
Well, now I would like to summarize, in my opinion, the current state of P.S in the game and set out some suggestions.

As we can see P.S can be very useful at the very beginning of the game, to put together your game priorities, to test what further tactical player you want to become in this game, at later levels.

P.S can also be useful for a player who will be able to use them wisely by mixing them with a simple squad to get an extra bonus, but at the same time purposefully use P.S unique weapons to their advantage.

However, not having the ability to expand these squads, and use them fully like simple squads, in later levels become a huge problem, and they just occupy the needed required squad slots. Also considering how much they cost at the moment, P.S becomes a huge luxury, just use them as fun or meme squads.

So what are the possible options. I will try to rank my suggestions purely according to the current position of P.S in the game right now.

1.- One option could be the ability to modify and deploy existing P.S troops among other premium squads. Everything would remain as it is now - but you could add some P.S soldiers from other P.S soldiers in that campaign. Vise versa.
2.- Maybe game developers should sell not P.S, but, let’s just say, premium weapons. Which could be used by simple squads, but weapons could be limited to a small maximum. Suppose a maximum of 4 premium weapons per simple squad.
3.- P.S could be more specialized, and have their own unique tasks in the game, which, when completed, would make the XP bonus even higher.
4.- P.S squads could have the option by playing with them, to unlock one additional specialized soldier slot.
5.- Each campaign could have at least one free P.S that can be unlocked while playing the game, without gold. Soldiers could have a lower xp bonus, say 30%, and could be combined with other simple squads.
6.- After purchasing P.S, the premium acc is automatically activated for the whole month.
7. Or - after purchasing P.S, two additional squad slots are activated.
8.- For example, it could be possible to reduce the possibility to have only ONE P.S of your choice in each campaign, but with the possibility to supplement it with separate soldiers. If you want to choose another squad from the existing ones, the current one locks up.

The main highlights would be as follows. Thank you to everyone who read and delved to the end. I think the game developers are seeing that the community is not happy with the current look of Premium Squads in the game, and that requires some changes.

i would say. have them exacly like non premium variants of the same class. with the only extra , the 100% xp rate.

P.S squads would come as 4 soldiers only, and users would costumise them as current non premium ones.
No extra p2w bullshit.

as follow:

– premium gunner squads: maximum 3 gunners + 4 non-gunners (maximum 7 troopers, 2 engineers, 2 radio operators, 1 sniper, 1 bomber, just like the default gunner squads).

– premium assaulter squads: maximum 4 assaulters + 3 non-assaulters (maximum 7 troopers, 2 engineers, 2 radio operators, 2 bombers, 1 sniper, 1 gunner, just like the default assaulter squads).

– premium trooper squads: maximum 9 troopers, 2 engineers, 2 radiomen, 1 sniper, 1 bomber, 1 assaulter, 1 gunner, just like the default trooper squads.

– premium engineer squads: maximum 6 troopers, 6 engineers, 1 assaulter, 2 bombers, 1 radio operator, just like the default engineer squads.

this way, the end user, would have another squad to choose, with unique gear and or unique weapons, but, could bring the same squad composition as a non premium one.

on the negative parts, you should also consider, either tank or plane premium ones.

where for example the 109 in normandy, its exacly the same as the non premium variant.

it comes fully upgraded with a 4 star soldier.
at latter stages. the non premium plane upgraded, can have a 5 star soldier with aviation perks that makes it better than the premium one.

same apply for tankers, where they cant have the tankers perks (level 5 ones) since they dont have the perk points avaiable to do so.

as an example:

this said, i would even consider the option to get level 5 soldiers on vehicles squads, where both counterparts can share the same perk selection.
this, only aplied on direct counterparts. where the vehicles are exacly the same.
not on premium squads where for example the current premium jumbo can have apcr . this would stay as 4 star soldiers to counter balance the diferent ammo type avaiable.
and or, if every premium squad could have them, the removal of the infamous vitality perk, only in them.

example of a direct premium counterpart where both premium and non premium can or could have the 5 star soldiers:

100% Agree with the fact they need the same squad upgrades and troop numbers as normal squads.

However, what are your thoughts on putting in normal soldiers of same class into the squad? This would make them viable as “training squads” for maxing out soldiers in the end game faster.

Or else how are you going to fill the squad up to their maxed capacity when we cant get premium soldiers of each class in logistics?
