I want to suggest that some items can be used to be thrown and hurt or kill the enemy.
Throw knives.
Throw Axes.
The knife can be recovered from the dead body or from the place where it falls.
Same for the axe.
When running out of knives or axes, he can use a punch attack. This will not kill the enemy but will knock them out, giving them enough time to run away.
Thrown objects are only deadly if they hit a sufficiently wounded unit, or pass through the enemy’s weakest points, such as the head or heart area.
if they add a function similar to rifle grenades where u can flip the knife slot weapons to throw by hitting U and then have to pick it up again or have nothing in slot after itd be sick and dont say its not immersive enough
Knife/sword/shovel/axe throwing is a high risk-low reward skill in actual combat. According to various fencing manuals, from Fiore dei Liberi’s Flos Duellatorum (15th century) to anonimous 1849 Manual del Baratero, throwing swords and daggers is a negligibly rare move that requires training (and we’re speaking of era of mass-conscripted armies fighting large warfare). Knife throws are mostly meant to win time to run away rather than to heavily wound or kill someone. Putting someone down with a knife throw as in “Magnificent Seven” or soviet 1978 “Special Purpose Squad” is a movie trick, similar to circus act, rather than actual killing move.
