Thoughts on Universal Carrier and Studebaker?

I like the m3 but i still think the 50 cal has wet noodles loaded into its belt.

I find the german mg much easier to dispatch targets…but the overheat suuuuuuuucks

I agree. But at least he’s got really good angles.

I very often even cant aim at the target, since its angles are so limited.

Hmm i hadnt noticed too much. Lot of time with fixed guns in warthunder i spose…turning with hull…i find the halftrack pretty decent for shifting on spot.

But yeah, spent ALOT more time with m3…can actually shoot down planes

Well, I was mainly talking about vertical angles. For example, in a battle of the bulge campaign, which is more or less one big hill, it’s a big problem.
Same thing in Berlin, where quite often some soldiers are on the upper floors of a buildings.

Universal Carrier is the best because you can hide it, only brain damaged people use that thing as a tank

that’s just your opinion i’m afraid.

I mean what the hell you can even fight with that thing? You get 1 shot by any tank or plane, or explosive, or gets all your crew killed by gunfire?

Same apply to any APC, it is what it is, they suck at being a tank, shooting their weapons only attract unwanted attentions

being 70<100 meters at the objectives prevents you from many issues.

which you can fire with the bren on infantry and also the anti tank rifle. after all, it’s like a semi auto.

stummel is prolly the best for that.

lob he at a safe distance behind friendly tanks, let players spawn relatively close and use mg in between.

works for me so far.

because the trick is to not actually use it as a tank, but actual infantry support vehicle.

Why 70-100 when you can do 40m in a bush? What’s the damn point of mobile rally if you use it as a crippled tank? Man seriously…

How the hell is infantry support if your Bren gun has little to no turn and the Boys ATR can’t pen anything above BR1 that’s not 20mm paper thin armor?

Hell even the truck is a better option cuz you at least have 4 people shooting with their weapons vs 2 fixed gun

for my own entertainment. and scoring some kills while guarding my own apc.

and no, you don’t use APCs as tank. at least, you’re not supposed to.

but similar to bikes, stick around friendly tanks, or flank and try to cut as many enemies as you can reaching or being inside the objective.

from what i can gather around this forum, is this quite an unknown and strange concept to many.

but an effective one as long you can pull it off.

br I or br V, infantry don’t care about any of that.

which it’s why the height comes to play when placing your self behind cover and what not.

they don’t always hit the target. and the firing distance will always get your self killed because AI targets more those who fire at them rather than gunners inside various vehicles.

similar to the bikes.

gunner is often immune to AI targeting and what not unless you’re 2 feets away from them.

Then use the bike, at least you get a functional MG, smaller and faster lmao

i do.

in case my crew died from bombs or i dismounted to help on the cap, and/or protect it or do else where.

mechanized combo is great.

kinda high risk high reward if you manage to make them work.

EDIT. i guess it’s worthed to mention that i do have 3 apcs so… lost one, can spawn another.

Boys atr is bolt action. It just doesnt have the animation

Why even use a APC if you gonna sit 70~100m or more far from the cap to watch a tank?

Man this is stupid, anything else is better than a APC for that, and sitting next to a tank is pretty much asking to get bombed specially as german…
