Thoughts on the Capture of Weapons by the German Soviet Technology Tree

Among the numerous photos, there are many examples of the German army using the SVT series rifles, and there are also many photos of using the PPSH41. Perhaps we should allow some of the captured weapons to appear in the technology tree, such as SVT40 given to a Jager unit and PPSH given to an assault unit with a majority of Eastern veterans. I hope Darkflow can see this message, after all, these squads can be completely pieced together using ready-made materials. They can even have unique appearances, or like heroes and generals, use captured specific weapons to kill a certain number of enemy troops and unlock specific captured weapons. I hope these veteran units have unique squad appearances, which have proven their uniqueness

TT? Why not event weapons?

To be honest tho, factions having their own gear makes them unique - too much captured stuff can be a problem.

You’re right, I think the limitations of activity weapons are too strong. It’s better to change them to veteran weapons unlocked by missions

I liked the aspect of captured weapons when the campaigns system was a thing. Soviets in Berlin with Panzerfausts and Pak 40s. Axis in Stalingrad with PPSH-41 and Ampulomet. It was a nice detail that encompassed a very niche and specific moments of WW2. But now without the campaign system, seeing german troops carrying captured PPSHs in Normandy just doesnt ring the same to me.

So in my personal opinion, I’d rather see them being featured more as part of events to make them more unique. And the Axis tech tree is super bloated with content anyways…

Then we can only let these equipment appear as veteran teams in the event, which is more attractive and can also allow newcomers to obtain soldier teams with better attributes

Think about it - German captured PPSHs at least are unique and historically accurate:

MP41r is a conversion that uses 9mm and MP40 mags, while the Stalingrad pack PPSH uses Mauser C96 ammo - two very specific things the German army did

The German army also uses SVT and Mosingan rifles equipped with PE sights, which can be used as active squads. In addition, the PE series sight holder can be used interchangeably with Zeiss ZF39 and Bosch 6x sights

The same can be said of the Soviets with the Panzerfaust (German) the Axis needs this MP-717 in the TT

The Panzerfaust would then have to be an Event for the Soviets with that Logic, the MP-717 has to be in the TT for the Axis so that the Game is Fair with them

Panzerfaust QQ bawwbaww ofc soviets need one too

Could have given Gorilla units unique ability to obtain / use captured weapons.
Rather than give them ridiculous spawn camp abilities.

I would rather have some version of Suomi than PPSH in tech tree. They should keep captured weapons to events or gold orders only
