I was wondering what everyone thinks of the squad upgrade requirements.
I, for one, think the squads take wayyyyyyyy too long to upgrade (especially Tier III and above). But is it just because I’m a broke f2p player and everything takes at least 2x longer than those with premium?
Also, is there a way to find out through game files or something how much xp it takes to upgrade a squad? It would be interesting if someone has found that out and has the stats from pre-economy update and post economy update.
I was thinking maybe this is how squad upgrade should go:
Tier I: no more than 15,000xp
Tier II: no more than 25,000xp
Tier III: no more than 32,000xp
Tier IV: no more than 36,000xp
Tier V: no more than 38,000xp
This should be reasonable. I would like to know what others think. And I forgot to mention, all upgrade levels should take the same amount of xp (currently each level takes different amounts, which is pure trash).
you do know how leveling up works each tier requires not just more xp but proportionally more xp

see exponential growth sorry but only increasing by four or two k over the last tier never going to happen. i spend little time on higher rank soldier or perks and regularly score in the higher ranks so its an optional system.
I still use the first squad types that you unlock (mg 1, assualter 2, engineer 1 etc.) Only thing that sucks is the weapons require the squad to be upgraded (which I believe should be changed).
Yeah but that system is kind of flawed, as it creates unnecessarily inflated xp requirements. With my system, they are much more achieveable as the jumps aren’t proportional.
If you prefer, here is an updated version with proportional increases:
Tier I: 15,000xp
Tier II: 25,000xp
Tier III: 40,000xp
Tier IV: 60,000xp
Tier V: 85,000xp
This I believe is still (slightly) lower than needed research values currently, but it isn’t really that much of an improvement. Maybe more people will find this version more balanced.
