well, i don’t think it’s necessarily a bad update.
but not a major one for sure as advertised.
hence did not meet alot of people expectations.
the scope was to make a big deal of paratroopers to lock them behind premium and event.
( and eventually release them as levels. the gatcha hurry moment )
so people are left with the choice of either grind, or pay. or wait.
not really a huge fan of that either.
but hey, AI changes are somewhat good. less ai sniping through stuff and somewhat better pathfinding.
feels more of a fil gap.
and that’s alright.
as long the game goes in a direction to the least.
speaking of personal opinions,
i was expecting more like 6/4 new levels to only the pacific it’s… not ideal for others that plays other campaigns. but i’m somewhat happy with the new uniforms.
not a fan of paratroopers.
i like them, but controversial.
as causes issues to my plans. ( in mods primarely. because i have no clue how to set spawns or how those things works. on the other hand, the features that comes with it, it’s really helpful to create and allow custom loadouts, new deployable containers and what not )
so, a 5/10 not in a bad way. just a meh.
p.s. not to diminish devs efforts. that’s to commend.
just not overhall an update that pleases me. i hope it does for many others that were calling for paratroopers though.
Its surely ironic to call it paratrooper update and yet the only squads are premiums and events we cant even play from day one.
HMG update 2.0
Also funny how little they talked about the new levels. Its like"hey, here are new levels. Next topic". Not to mention, Foxs excuse for not adding new levels elsewhere was stupid.
That was what I mean with HMG 2.0 except as you menrtio is that now you cant grind them for free excluding event.
Nah, his excuse was that grinding takes longer than “promotion” (whatever that means) which I guess is 50/50 true. I also dont think its that hard to add “new” stuff to the levels since they copy+pasted in the past anyway and they still have a lot of stuff in the files.
if they don’t, community throws shit at them for not doing it just like you just did.
and if they do use reused content, they still throw stuff at them.
which i more or less agree. but they somewhat sticked and aimed for paras.
on this, i cannot agree.
it’s not rushed, they just focused less on newer content and tried to polish airbone stuff. for the first time, they are not so buggy or badly implemented.
which bug fixed and ““featues”” are to be commended. the game feels a bit better now. certainly not less stale though.
as it does not impact all campaigns…
on the other hand, it should ?
not sure. mostly neutral about it.
i guess presets are nice. but very limited and no way to rename them
The new map is a blast, I really enjoy the new Fallschirmjäger units and there are a lot of improvements to the game like new options to turn on/off for a lot of UI elements.
I really like this update and the devs have done a great job!
I dont know. I used to hate copy+pate strategy with pleasure but thinking about it, having five Panzer III J (only need one premium in Tunisia to have them all), three Panzer IV Js (own the Normandy one), dozents of Bf G-6 and G-10s and half a dozent of Pv IV F2s and not to mention the other stuff I dont own… would be funny to have so many versions in the new order for sure.
But I guess they only care about premium AAA squads.
Well.
They completely forgot Tunisia in the new bp beyond adding flamethrower soldiers which is pointless because there are no free Italian or British flamers. Or they just hate Tunisia for some reason which would also explain a lot going on there.
The new map is the biggest joke of all, so to speak, a gift for the Allies! Everywhere the possibility to hide and after a few seconds the flag is already taken. As a German, you can conquer the point with 20 men and it takes forever for something to happen
Real issue is still bipods not dispersion.
I am more accurate on hipfire or fire while standing.
On some surafceses, bipod increase recoil. I mean wtf ?
