The Devs seriously need to consider making a more intuitive tutorial. Clearly, the Snail God wasn’t smiling down upon me today. I was consistently the only one on the objective, building rallies (until the final objective, when a Panzer IV kept spawn camping and I had to spawn a Sherman to take him out).
Point is, one man can’t do it all. And clearly, I didn’t…
The problem, I think, is that they should completely eliminate bots after BR3 and force those who don’t have at least 40-50 hours to play with bots until they learn.
Because there are people who don’t even learn with a tutorial…
Something like they do in League of Legends, they force you to play with bots up to a certain level, and then they match you with people of your same level.
The problem is they wouldn’t do it; it’s too much work for lazy devs. Not to mention they pass off bots as people because they don’t have players.
I have this theory that if we had stronger AI - even a bad player could make use of his squads fire power by simply trying.
Its has become so easy to simply walk past multiple enemies - to walk straight into the backline of the enemy to kill unprotected tanks and destroy rallies.
AI should not allow to let people get past them without a fight.
Today only AI MG gunners are half decent, but back in the days AI really had big range and accuracy.
Oh my god, why do you think bots would do nothing? They will instead build rally points and attempt to attack.
Only players can camp or fly planes, and you often see these guys with very few kills and deaths, so this game seems unrelated to them.
You can see in the screenshot that there is a guy who has been playing fighter jets with only 12 kills, and a tank with only 24 kills.
I never said they weren’t useful, but it’s annoying to have a hybrid of players and bots on one team and a full team of players on the other side, they should separate it or balance it.
Also, if this game were to respect BR, the higher the BR, the more people are supposed to know how to play.
You can’t put BR5 people to play with/against bots, it doesn’t make sense, they are the highest BR and what they are supposed to already know how to play and have all or almost all of the tree.
It’s like a League of Legends challenger being put to play with 2 bronzes, a mid bot, and a diamond.
Having an AI that could act on its own in a state of defensive order would be great… I’ll tell you in a game called “Conqueror Blade” the following happens:
It’s a game where you’re a general and you lead several types of troops into battle at once (cavalry, cannons, archers, crossbowmen, riflemen, etc.). In this game, while the AI requires orders, I can assure you that if you leave an AI defending a point, they’ll do so until they die.
Many times the AI even erases you from an attack, and there’s no one complaining about it xD
While as I said before, the AI moves under your orders, in this game if you can move as far away as you want from your unit it will not move without your order, and it will also defend itself unless you order otherwise.
It’s incredible how in Conqueror Blade, the AI has a system of blind obedience in professional troops, and in others like Vikings or bandits they are a little more disobedient and can defend you without your order, but professional units will die standing without moving if you order them to.
We need AI like that here, I’m not saying they should be Rambo or John Wick, but they should be self-sufficient if you order them to stay and defend, they should even be able to hide behind things to protect themselves.
Something we have from other games and wouldn’t be difficult to obtain, but once again, the devs don’t want to work.
