I just completed the Tiger II research on the tech tree. I had all the previous tanks like the Panther …etc but I did not have several of the little BR I and II tanks from campaigns I did not play. Now the system is telling me that I cannot buy any of the high end tanks unless I go all the way back and complete the entire line. Basically I would be researching tanks I would not be able to use because you already stick me on the same BR IV and V maps because of my high end premium tanks. You gotta be shitting me! You do not do that for the guns so why do you do it for the tanks? This game is seriously a steamy pile of #$$%&!

bad news: it works exactly the same for weapons. and we have to discover it the hard way, AFTER doing the research.

I just bought a plane and there are several lower end planes I did not research. So why is it different for tanks?

perhaps the lower end unresearched ones are foldered?
The foldered ones do not block progress down the tree

Don’t so feel bad though, you’re not alone. I had to research AND purchase the Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) before actually getting the Tiger II

Sir, please don’t use any premium or gold to grind all these weapons out. Tell me when you get finished (it’s going to be a while).
It’s too late for all that. But I do enjoy playing historical line ups so the things I have to “grind” are suitably reduced.

No not really, you have a choice.
You can also get premium and buy premium squads if you want to unlock things faster.
This is not “rocket surgery”. Complaining about F2P grind isn’t going to get you much sympathy from me.
