This is not sustainable (300+ kills, 10k exp)

So I played a match in Tunisia where I killed 308 people (and 10 enemy tanks). My team lost anyway (probably because 7/10 were bots). Sure, that happens, but at the end of the match, I only got 16k exp total.

It would take someone 12 matches like that one just to gather the 180000 exp necessary to gain just 1 (one) level, and unlock some new rifle. That would require killing 3600+ enemy soldiers, and 120 enemy tanks/planes. That is a f**king small army.

I’m not one of the people who gets bothered too much by the hard grind, but this is NOT sustainable. There are 10 campaigns in-game, each with over 30 levels on average. To level up on all of them with that 300 kills/16k exp average would require killing over 1 million enemy soldiers and thousands of tanks/planes. That is more than the entire armies of several countries in WW2.

Just wanted to say this. Consider giving an exp bonus for each 100 kills in a match (like 1000 straight exp, or maybe a medal and 1.1x multiplier for each 100 kills in a match, meaning one could get 1.8x from medals if they killed 300 people)

(oh, and please notice how in the score tab it says I earned 14377 base exp, but in the end only 10935 were actually counted. This is also frustrating.)

yeah somehow, they either broke the exp system or stealth-nerf it. They later is the case if we see P2W mechanic like in the Stalingrand campaign coming in the other ones

ok first of all 16k XP for f2p without any premium booster is really good.
secondly your score on the board does not reflect your earned XP. If you drive a tank or fly an airplane your XP points get reduced. If you play engineer, your XP can be higher than your score.
All in all:
Live with the XP gained or take the premium option.

It’s called play to have fun and pay to have a lot more fun. Would you rather get to play and have fun at no cost or pay a little and have a lot more fun? That’s how I see it. Plus paying is investing in a great game development company. I loved the game so much, in the past two weeks I’ve paid for most of the premium content on Normandy and bought a year worth of membership. Have 405+ days of premium account left. No regrets. Hoping for more content because this is something I support. Devs hope you add mixed campaign battles. Would love to bring my Normandy fire teams to the other campaigns! Plus more maps! Love it!

Dude, 500xp/min is a terrible result, I’m sorry for you that you were sweating so much for this.

Experience in Enlisted is calculated a little differently. I’ve been playing since the start of OBT and I can tell you exactly that since I’ve done a lot of testing.

The game has a built-in anti-noob system. This means that experience is earned by each fighter in the squad for the time spent in battle. But this also takes into account the number of kills, but the experience for them smoothly spreads over all members of the squad, even if they were dead at the time of the kills.

Direct bonuses have a good effect on experience: capturing points, engineering actions, destroying armored vehicles and aircraft, etc.

As I said, earlier I did various tests of maximizing the efficiency of farming experience only with premium, on ordinary squads, posted some on the forum, but local players did not really like this topic and they called me a sweaty lord. So, according to these tests, I found that the infantry squad of 9 fighters - gets the most experience, and the most important thing here is to stay alive as long as possible while on the front lines.

My recommendation here is: get as many soldiers into your squads as possible, always level up the upgrade trees with experience - this is the first priority. Once you respawn, you only have two valid options: build a rally point or run to a contested point. Use grenades, artillery, suicide-spam by bombers more often, do not spare your soldiers and detachments - send them to the meat grinder, because the most experience is hidden there.

Here are some of my fights where I earn over 1000xp/min with premium. Fights where you earn less are not worth your time.

My squad list in almost all campaigns is 2-3 sturm squads, 2 bomber squads, 1 tank squad, machine gun squad and radio squad.

Xp in Enlisted is definitely weird.

There are times where I have 200 kills and get 20,000 xp, and times where I have 150 and get 30,000.

I believe it’s partly due to match length as well if I’m not mistaken.

your points in the table do not equal the experience gained, this is not a mistake.
Yes, the game gives very little experience. I think if it was more on average 20%, it would be better to play (and pumping was not too fast).
In addition, many times offered a permanent bonus to the experience if you have the maximum level in the campaign. (e.g. 3-5% for each max side improved), then you would have an 18-30% experience bonus by the time you started rolling 4 campaigns. This could only apply to campaign progress, not to bronze/silver soldier and weapon cards

It’s diminishing returns, much like Warthunder. There’s a rate of XP gain that Gaijin wants you to have, you can exceed it to an extent but there’s a soft-cap and as mentioned, certain things like using vehicles will also gimp your XP gain. Ultimately as long as you’re not dogshit the only thing that matters is the soft-cap.

As @22408305 sayed, use a lot veichels dont pay you have: cycle infantry squad, build rallypoint, ammobox, mark veichle, conquist cap, defend cap you have to do a lot for earn a lot and in the end you dont have problem to score 20kxp even withaut premium in in 30 minute

this wont affect campaing xp. those are bonus to soldiers and squad itself
edit: sure you will perform better but those upgrades dont give direct exp boost

Campaign XP is the sum of squad Base XP, and squad base XP is the sum of soldiers XP, no direct relation to match score, since every soldiers hv their own base XP even that soldier did nothing, bring more soldiers to the field will get more XP.

Also many strategic bonus didn’t show on score, but in EXP, like destroying enermy fortifications.

So, if you want XP, play as infantry, bring more soldiers to the field, build rally, ammo, destroy enermy fortifications, capturing/defending points. I reach lvl 32 within 100 match in Moscow Axis.

o, but they do.

The last line of modifiers is an upgrade from the red branch.

Thats how much exp your soldier gained? Atleast in english localisation.

Go test in custom match. Get 1 kill with 1 lvl squad, suicide and repeat with max lvl squad.

Desert and check CAMPAING exp gain. It shows clearly how much each squad awarded exp. When i tested it myself, every squad awarfed same exp for same task

It’s NOT when you have 300 kills +10 destroyed vehicles in a match, an outcome that happens 1% of the time to most players (myself not included).

I have bought premium at times, I just happened not to be on premium time on that match. But that doesn’t change how absurdly low is that base-experience. One has to take into account that the majority of players are free-to-plays, and if they have to undergo such extremely slow grind (where they have to kill literally an entire army with million of soldiers and thousands of vehicles in order to reach level 30 on all campaigns), then the game will be insufferable to them, and we (paying players included) will not have many people to play the game with.

Your recommendations are completely solid and I agree with and follow most of them. I always try to play with fully-manned squads, and in that match, I even had a full 9-men riflemen squad (and two 7-men assaulter/gunner squads). With premium time I rarely get less than 1000exp/min.

I know this (made a bug-report thread on it and was informed), the point is: it is still frustrating. Why have this apparently-contradictory display?

The reason is that u dont have a premium account and you defeat. In Tunisia, I have premium accounts killed 100+ got 30000 exp per game. To make your life easier, just buy a premium account. Otherwise, it would be painful to level up.

Basically, I partially like the Enlisted xp gain system. Which “checks” how effectively you have contributed to the battle on your part.

As someone mentioned your score is very good, but I think the point in your case is almost unused engineer buildings, 20 of your destroyed squads, and overall utility, apart from the fact that you are in the first place. In other words, not the quantity but the quality of your actions.

Just my opinion.

My bad, the soldier’s experience modifier doesn’t really contribute to campaign experience.

Which of course does not negate the thesis about the hidden smearing of experience between all members of the squad. The interesting thing is that whoever designed this system clearly expected the average player to be very bad, and made a very huge reliance on the soldier’s time spent in combat.

I think the issue is that you want to unlock everything. The current system is not set up for this imo. If you have everything unlocked, you lose a lot of player incentives. Even paying players would struggle to unlock the whole shebang, and I think that’s by design.

What you can do, is make a viable setup from some of the early-available stuff (I usually aim for semi rifle and everything before that). You can have an enjoyable experience for free, without feeling gimped, within a week with reasonable gaming hours if you narrow your scope.

I have not been able to enjoy this game while constantly pining for that next best thing, but even the low tier squads feel useful and deadly once levelled. I recommend to focus on what you already got (and maybe one level ahead) if unwilling to payboost.
