I think if some changes had been made the event would be better, for example, the Russians would have officer swords on the soldier who has the uniform that represents the officer, the same with the Japanese who would carry a shin gunto type 95 or the katana, the rest of the soldiers should be able to carry axes, to balance the disaster of the type 4, I would change that weapon for the late hei or the recent hino komuro rifle, but that’s my opinion, I don’t want to dramatize an event that is already considered one of the worst by many players
To hell with the balance. First of all, this event is a dull bullshit that quickly descends into equally boring grind and boring bullshit. But that’s only my personal opinion.
Even if I agree the event it’s very boring, you don’t need be rude, I agree it need changes, but chill
I’m calm.
As for the Type Hei Late… My opinion - Tip Hey with extended 10 round magazine and also Tip Hey Late should not only be in this event, but should be in Japanese TT as well
I haven’t even played the event yet.
1.5 minutes searching on all servers told me all I need to know, and the 12500 points per day is ridiculous.
The grind is the worst, why on earth they thought a grind event should be locked to a singular shitty gamemode is beyond me. At least let me grind with my funny BA squads.
Not to mention 12k a day is insane, 20k every two days is fine, because I can just take a day off if Im not feeling the game this day, honestly, Ive decided Im only getting the PTRS bike and nothing else, I genuinely despise playing this event, its physically painful to play and its about to drive me from the game.
I think having bolt action rifles instead of all semi autos would have been nice like the ones with the flag on them for Japan and for USSR the most common ones they used would fit. when it comes to swords Japan should have gotten one on the assaulter squad and APC since both dont have radioman and for ussr maybe more sprint speed instead of sword on their assaulter squad
People are doing everything to maximise score and to heck with anything else
Scores are mostly 2500 and higher for both sides - last game I played I got 3200 on the losing side in 8th place. IIRC 3 people scored over 6000 - 2 on 1 side 1 on the other
So for me it takes 4 games usually - which is just a normal evening’s play.
Also the event counts towards achieving battlepass stars.
its just a troll event. they made it for the lols (theirs) and we are the ones being trolled.
its crystal clear, even in the event name. after all, its called “EVEN FIGHT”. no need to look further than the plane selection, ffs. they even gave japan a plane that has no fkin front guns. need i say more?
i guess they actually wanted to name it “WHY EVEN FIGHT?” but had to trim it to fit the UI.
I said this before, but I wasn’t a fan of the event to start with, mostly due to the preset squads and the lack of perks.
But it’s actually pretty good. I’ve been having a blast.
12k points isn’t at all hard to get in a day. Just remember to build rallies and deploy the APC, and of course, play the points. It usually takes me 3 matches to complete a level, which is usually the same amount I play normally per day.
To call it a “troll event” is weird. We’ve had plenty of other events over the years that are definitely more troll than this.
That said, remember, the event is ENTIRELY OPTIONAL. If you don’t like it, don’t participate. It’s that simple.
Personally, I’d like to see more of this type of event, from time to time. It makes a change from the norm.
are you aware, i hope, how the “its entire optional” line works in the game industry, and actually in every industry that doesnt hold a monopoly?
“if you dont like my book, then dont buy it!”, was said before. buying the book was entirely optional, and so it was done. it didnt go well.
“if you dont like this X number of this game franchise, then dont buy it!”, was said before. buying X number of that game franchise was entirely optional, and so the option was taken. it didnt go well neither.
anyone that had ever to work in sales, know what their boss will do the moment they hear you tell a customer “well, this item is like this, buying it is entirely optional, if you dont like it, dont buy it”.
the “entirely optional” line is not good for sales, for representing a product, or to provide an image.
this event could have been great. it SHOULD have been great. it has kept everyone clinching their cheeks for months, and i mean months, six months since it was teased or more, and hoping desperately to go well. specially, since if it did, it could give a much needed variation and open the last combat battlefront needed to even the opposing sides. with a viable japan vs ussr front, we could actually have a 4-way clash, each side fighting 2 enemies, without going into all-vs-all a-la call of duty, fortnite, battlefield, and the like.
hopes were high; stakes were higher. if i play this game, its because i really like it; not only for what it is, but for what i see it can be. and it hurts, it really hurts seeing the same mistakes over and over and over and over again.
this is one of the games that i see with highest potential in the fps market. but it has to do it right. or, at the very least, if the result is not the best, at least it has to show effort. noone expects it to be perfect. there is no perfect game. but at least, we want you, the developers, the community managers, the helpers, the forum mods, to try your best. just try your best. people will value WAY MORE the effort than the end result.
do you think i am wrong?
I’ve worked in sales for years, so I understand the concept of commission sales and so on. This game isn’t the sales industry. It’s a live service, F2P computer game. Events happen. You are under no obligation to participate in it.
And I’ve read this line a few times recenty: The devs have been working on this event since February…
This isn’t accurate. It’s been hinted that the USSR and Japan would fight on the same battlefield, but nothing was said about it being an event based in the pacific, nor would it be preset squads. I still believe the devs are working on a proper campaign/battlefield that’s not a time-limited event, but an actual addition to the map rota. Manchuria comes to mind.
But to answer your questiom, do I think you’re wrong? In this instance, yeah, I think so. I think you’re missing the point of the event. It’s an experiment, as said so in the initial news post.
I have been having terrible internet lately and im constantly lagging. It makes the event grind into painful suffering but i still think 12 000 is pretty easy to do. I just wish it reset every other day instead of every day
