I think impact grenades are fine. In fact I rarely encounter them. And I’m pretty sure frags have a larger damage radius
they have lower lethality cause you need too cook them to be effective. impact is just aim and throw and get instant kills.

impact has 8m while frag has 10, not much of a difference.

Realistically, who uses smoke besides WP?
We just need a limit on things.
What I would like is rifle grenades at original strength, WP grenades at original strength, molotov’s at original strength (all stronger than today). We can add impact grenades at today’s (likely original) strength.
The difference is that we need to limit them somehow. I’d say regular frags and explosive packs are free game but the others are limited. Maybe some number per squad.
How about only assault soldiers carrying collision grenades?

I don’t really agree with deleting or directly reducing it to garbage.
Because of the lessons learned from this game, first with explosive packs, then grenades, and then white phosphorus grenades, they weakened a lot of projectiles, but they have never been able to solve the problem of abuse, indicating that the problem lies not with the projectiles themselves but with their quantity.

I’ve just my first experience of this, so doesn’t seem common - but is incredibly scummy. Two players on the opposite team none stop spamming impact grenades throughout - even when you kill them first, you die anyway. I don’t think they fired a gun the whole game.
Simple solution for now - blocklist the scumbags doing it - but probably not a long term solution. Then again - do I really want to play against the kind of players who just find mechanics to abuse anyway. I’d like to think blocking them will could eventually make it harder for them to find a game.
Not sure how best to fix it though - I don’t really like the idea of limiting and nerfing the power - but rather fix the mechanic. They certainly shouldn’t detonate until actually thrown and when you shoot a player about to throw, the grenade really shouldn’t still be thrown - maybe have it drop to the ground behind them and enable friendly fire, wipe their squad instead. Even if the shot isn’t a kill - I imagine any bullet to any body part would realistically interrupt a throw and probably make you just drop it.

the blocklist here, as it is wonderfully and amazingly skillfully implemented, is just another friend list, just ones you like a tiny little less, but dear friends nonetheless, with whom you would really like to play again and again.

Personally I hate the concept of impact grenades for the same reason I hate anti personal mines in Enlisted - they way too easily deployed, they are “no brainers” without having some drawbacks to them.
Wanna clear a room? Just press a button - done.
Wanna place a mine? Just place a button - done, you place mines even while sprinting.
The problem is not the grenades themselves, its they are used so quickly without any time drawback that is why they are so valuable.
The Impact grenades real equivalent should actually be “cooking grenades” then instead of simply pressing one single button for an easy multi kill, you would need to hold the nade in your hands for multiple seconds before tossing it - you invest in it and you gain that the enemy can’t run from the explosion - which would be fair. But simply having a free “noob tube” for every soldier in the game can’t be healthy for gameplay. Heck even Rifle grenades need to be “loaded first” and even then they are already a pain to deal with.
Yeah that’s a bit silly, there are a lot of functions the game allows the soldiers to do on the move.
That’s some of the shit that needs to be nerfed. The laying of mines should be a deliberate animation which can’t be done on the move.
The same for leaning, if you’re leaning you can’t run only walk and if you jump the solder lowers their weapon to steady themselves for the landing.
Ah well one can only hope.

If you want to cripple the defenders that badly the same should apply to your attackers especially to the Soviets with their new toy they should not be able to carry and the allies with the the uncountable number of belts they’re wearing with that Browning also can’t forget the Vickers as well
