There is no way to look backwards in a tank (even pilots can do it)

The periscopes in the new update have very limited turn range. Fine. But then fix the open hatch turn angle so we can look more to the back. Even pilots strapped to their seats can turn their heads further!
Only possible way now is if there is a modelled cuppola.

agreed here. commanders’ periscopes mostly should rotate 360 or at least 270 like pilots do. for me it’d be enough with 270 honestly

A true tanker never needs to look behind him, only forward on to victory

I recall there is a periscope design that allows you to flip it 180deg and look backwards. I don’t know what tanks had it though.

True tanker knows that someone may want to make PENETRATION at his back where armor is most weak.

No, this is propaganda.

I should also add that a true tanker only uses his mouse and W key on his keyboard, nothing more, no need to go anywhere else than forward

I’m actually the one who makes those PENETRATIONS♂️ so i know what I’m talking about

No, not my tanks, my tanks are charged by jesus

Actually that is not entirely true!

You CAN look behind you in SOME tanks. This is done by “switching view” as the commander.

My Tiger 2 for example i can switch to look out the rear of the turret just fine! Which makes pulling back for ammo and repairs without getting stuck on things MUCH easier.

Yes, I’m aware, it has a modelled cuppola. I had already written that on the opening post.

Foud it.

And it was used by almost everybody (exaggeration).

I developed the skill to not angle my tank unless I remember what the f my original orientation was.

That and not messing with trenches.

doesnt make sense that the commander cant rotate 360 when popped from the cupola aswell.

+1 to this. It’s bananas that even if my crewman is popped up from the hatch and exposed that I can’t look around the tank. It’s currently very hard to back a tank out of an area and a crewman peeking their head outside should have full rotational viewing.
