I was just looking the stats of both and try bot in the editor, a big no! Both of them are worse than the armaguerra, If the armaguerra is a garand with 2 less bullet, japanese semi are a worse m1 carabine wo compensate with more damage, totally not worth the buying
And at least from my try both have a dispersion like an smg @Euthymia07 (asking for dispersion stats about them)

Sry, both of them. Only unlocked the first one in game but tried all japanese weapons in the editor.
I have the Type Hei upgraded, but with the 5 mag is a nightmare. You need 2 bullets for a long distance, 1-2 mid range and in CQC you keep shooting, taking cover, reloading.
Bolties are the way to go!

The sights of the Hei are nice but the problem is only 5 rounds. Might as well replace it with a bolt action rifle especially Type 99(best sights for Japanese rifles)
