There is no point in calling units by their historical names after the Merge

After the Merge, it no longer makes sense to call units by the names of divisions, brigades, regiments, battalions, etc.
Only premium troops assigned to specific theaters of operations should retain their historical names.
I suggest adding adaptive unit names for all factions or possibly a more personalized version, such as:

  1. Standard infantry squad:
    German - Grenadiers/Volksgrenadiers
    American/Allied - Riflemans/Rifle section
    Soviet - Riflemans/Infantry rifle squad
    Japan - Infantry section

  2. Assault infantry squad or Bikers:
    German - Panzergrenadiers/Stormtroopers
    American/Allied - Mechanized rifleman/Stormtroopers
    Soviet - Motostrelki/Motorized rifle squad
    Japan - Mechanized infantry/IJNLF

firts that is good the devs need to focus on balance and not in larping content like something like that
second is still fine is they keep their name doesnt bother to anyone + is easier to find a specific squad

On one hand you are 100% right.
On the other, I like those names and I’d miss them.

But there’s no point in removing those names as well. It’s more fluffy and I like them.

There’s also no point to remove them, taking the time to change their langs to generic ones isn’t needed.

Except many divisons etc. fought accross different fronts ehm maps.

And there are different regiments of the same divisions, cool for role-playing purposes

I just don’t see the point of having historical names of units that never fought in the scope of their classification, 90% of the time.
How does that make sense?
They might as well call them whatever names are available at hand.
